According to the official press release, "The rolling chassis go on sale Thursday, March 28, at noon EST and will be priced at $55,000. Each specially numbered chassis is assembled by hand at the same facility that constructs Chevrolet's COPO Camaro production race cars."
For all the details and to order one of these limited Camaro rolling chassis, customers will need to call 1-800-306-3005, beginning March 28, 2013 at 12 p.m. EST.
“This is a great opportunity to buy a factory-built foundation for a competitive Camaro race car, saving racers the time of building their own from the ground up and offering them the opportunity to compete with a piece of Chevrolet history, because we’re only going to build a few of them,” said Jim Campbell, General Motors U.S. Vice President of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. “Add your powertrain assembly and you’ve got a race car that’s ready to tackle the drag strip.”

The front end looks much better. I didn't realize how heavy they are, 3800lbs wow. With the price tag i would have thought more sophistication would have went into the chassis build to bring the weight down. Similar to what they did for the ZR1 Vette.
Wow, that chin spoiler that does look huge in the pic. Does it look that big in person?
That paint does look pretty trick. Looks like a matte white with metallic flakes.
This sets up the obvious sequel as the car to do head to head battle with Stielow's Mayhem as a followup to the ZL1 vs Red Devil shootout.

I've been working on the Z/28 for a while now. Due to product security I could not tell people what I was working on. This project was very top secret. When we unveiled the car in New York no one knew it was coming. The car is a hoot to drive.
There have been talks of doing another shoot-out between one of my Camaros and the new Z/28 next year.
