Hi all I haven't really posted on here too much, more of a lurker, but I hope to be posting more once I can start working on the truck. Main reason I don't post much is I haven't had the time or cash to work on my sy so I haven't wanted to waste anyone's time. I can talk way too much, for the question scroll down past all this
So here's the story, I have a 91 gmc syclone with a turbo 4.3 v6. The engine has a moderate build to it
forged pistons
cryoed crank
eagle rods
slightly ported l-35 heads (slightly better than stock)
lightly ported intake
Lunati mild cam
t-72 turbonetics turbo
atr headers
3.5" downpipe with 2 magnaflow mufflers (trying to quiet it down!)
half fill block filler
84# injectors
That's the majority of the engine work to give you guys an idea on were I am at.
With the engine combo I have it should be close to 600 hp on race gas and 450hp on 93, its very similar to this build but i have headers, a bigger turbo and bigger a/a ic

I have a 20 gal fuel cell and had braided fuel lines with an aeromotive a1000 and 13101 reg with their filters and speed controller. My tuner and I were having issues getting the tune right, if I remember right the stock ecm would say the engine was lean and dump fuel, the wb showed it running extremely rich. I may be off on this its been 6 yrs
We tried tons of things and just couldn't get anything going, I started reading all these problems with the braided fuel lines and being the truck sat for a while with no fuel in the lines I decided I wanted to get rid of them. I understand this may not fix the issue also but I do want to get rid of the stinky braided lines anyway and hopefully make the fuel a little cooler.
I am also tired of the fuel cell and am going to sump the stock tank with one of aeromotives sumps.

I bought a used weldon pump for a great price its a c2025-a, I will have weldon look it over before I use it to make sure its in great shape.
Question
So here is what I would like advice or recommendations on what will work.
I am planning on routing my new 1/2" hardlines the way I have seen recommended on here, leave the reg by the tank and run a single line to the front. Then tee it and run dual lines to the rail and then I will add a crossover pipe to the front of the rails.
I am thinking of getting a weldon reg and speed controller and just selling the aeromotive stuff as I have heard way better stories about weldon. The weldon will either be mounted roughly close to the top of the tank or in front of the tank away from the sump. With the side mount tank it kills all good options for mounting the pump correctly

I am also planning on running the return to the stock sending unit. Most likely I will have to mount the sump way inside the tank basically eliminating the hole they say to use for the return, plus I'm not sure if I like the idea of running the return to the bottom of the tank, wouldn't that put too much pressure on it?
Based on the engine combo rough hp goals is this still the best way for me to plumb it or should I just put the reg after the rails like it was?
I do want to try an autocross or road race it some, nothing crazy right now but years to come I may want to get into it more. I mainly want to get it into a driver status as its been roughly 10 yrs since I put any miles on it. I can always change this combo out years down the road mainly looking for advice on getting the current setup running.
I might install a custom cam meant for this combo spec'd by my tuner but that may wait till next year.
I have been following the vaporworx setup and very much want to try it out but currently it would cost too much and I think for the limited use fun vehicle it will be currently it would be overkill. Once I can get more serious about the truck I am going to look at putting a tank in the rear of the truck and getting rid of the side mount tank then running the vaporworx kit.
Sorry if I put some people to sleep trying to get it all out there first
Thank you all for any recommendations etc I really appreciate it
