Default Inexpensive paint shop in NorCal Bay Area

I'm looking to repaint the 69 bird. I'm not looking for a show quality paint job. Just something decent for the price. Any recommendations for shops in the Bay Area? What is the average cost for a paint job nowadays? Thanks.

I guess the best question to ask is what can you afford

And how much bodywork does the car need or rust repair.....

Bodywork is expensive for good work. I had my car painted 5 years ago and it was $$$$$'s. $7K for a complete color change with engine bay/trunk/doors shot too.

Nowadays I'm sure it would be quite a bit more.

That question is impossible to answer without knowing how much bodywork your car needs. The money/labor hours are in the body prep. Was it media blasted and all new metal already installed?

Have some recomendations, but agree with John, it is imposible to say how much teh paint job will cost without taking other stuff in consideration.

I have tried several painters in the Bay and finally found a great guy, who does great work and failry reasonable.

My 67 400 just back from paint. Keep in mind I stripped the car and re-installed everything otherwise overspray etc is guaranteed. If the shop does it they will charge you bigger bucks
