Hi Guys,

Need some advice, what would you do flat black trim or brushed? Its an old picture but the there are brushed door handles and side markers on it now. Thanks for your help!

I personally like brushed. I used a red scotchbrite pad on the trim on my 68 and it came out nice. There were minor scratches which led me to the approach. Looked nice and understated.

Hey Raj...flat black would be my vote. Your theme would be consistent w door handles and rims brushed, above the door all black. Did you also paint your window weatherstrip channel?

Thanks for the advice gents!

Rick -- would you happen to have some pictures of your trim?

Ron -- so far the window weather strip channel is not painted but that can be changed also... great more to think about!

Raj, that car is sweet. I'd match the wheels hoops but you can't go wrong either way.

brush them all to either leave or prep for paint. spray bomb one, install both on car and see which you like best.

^^^^^ Do what Mike Said....
Either way the pieces will need to be "cleaned" and then sanded down smooth using scotchbrite.
Flat black spray bomb will cost a few bucks and can easily be stripped off using the method above if the brushed version is prefered. If you like it then powdercoat them in a satin black.
We do it all the time. Easy way to resemble newer OEM's.
