Default Lt1 T56

I have a LT1 T56 out of a 94 pontiac.

I was going to run a SBC but decided to go to LS1 what would I need to get to make it work?

You will need to change the input shaft and bell housing, and recheck all the backlashing.

I know that guys on LS1tech do this all the time and there is a company over there that will do it for like $400.

You'll also need the adapter housing that goes between the bell and the transmission. Don't forget to change the hydraulic components as well.

This is all great info guys! Doesn't sound like like I have to buy a new T56 if one day I too enter the LS world! A few hundred bucks sounds a lot better than a new trans!
