Default HIR 2 Headlight Bulbs

My Ford Edge Sport manual has a list of HIR 2 as the headlight bulb for this model. However the ones installed in my car are not as bright as the actual one. As of the moment i would like to replace the current headlight bulb with something brighter and would love some guidance from other 2011 Sport owners. Any inputs on this model? Don't know where to turn to. Please help me.

Is it just one headlight that's dim?check fuses. I recently fixed a wrecked 2010 Scion and couldn't figure ot why a brand new headlight was very dim, turned out to be a fuse. Good luck
