Default HEI distributor in 67 camaro

Hey guys I was wondering if you can put a distributor out of a 91 chevy truck into my camaro and make it work. I was wanting to go with a hei so I went to my local salvage yard and bought one of the smaller ones with the external coil so I would have more room and not be so close to the firewall but after I bout it i got to thinking there is no vacuum advance on this distributor and I didnt know how the advance would work.....soo my question is will it work if so how does the advance work? Thanks in advance.....Stacey

No, it will not work. Those distributors from late model trucks are for computer controlled motors. Get a MSD ready to run distributor
