Default PCV routing

Ok, I have a little problem and need some help. I just finished doing an LS3 swap on a 68 camaro and don't know how to route PCV outlet on rear driver side. Also It suddenly started leaking oil from oil pan and did not find any problem........until I got under the car to look where it was leaking from......I heard a wheezing sound coming from the engine so I guessed I had plugged something that made the crankcase create air pressure that made oil seep through the oilpan gasket. I checked everything I plugged and found out that I had plugged the outlet on the passenger side valve cover(hard line pointing to front)......when I unplugged it, it released alot of air pressure which led me to believe that was the problem and it was(no more leak). Now I don't know where to route this line either.

Any help would be really appreciated!!!!!!

Thanks!!!

Carb or Injection? Makes minor difference, but bottom line is vent from valley cover goes into intake past throttle body (on stock intake manifold, short convoluted tube that attaches between valley cover and bung on intake behind throttle body). This tube is refered to as 'dirty air' side of PCV system. This is also the side of PCV system that some add catch cans to if blowby is an issue.

Vents from rocker covers must go to intake system ahead of throttle body, but behind mass meter (another words between mass meter and throttle body). Can be run seperately or tied together to one vent tube. This is the 'clean air' side of PCV. Reason must go behind mass meter is any airflow through PCV system must be measured air to keep MAF curve correct for fueling calculations. If you open this to atmosphere, or attach ahead of MAF, unmetered air will throw off measurement of airflow - in particular during high vacuum, low load operation (idle with throttle closed). Enough so that fuel trim lean codes can set.

If you are carburated, same idea, just need to have filtered air enter rocker covers, then vent from valley cover to intake below carb. Since this air is not measured through carb, idle mixture adjustments are required to compensate.

Hope this helps.

It is fuel injection.......thanks for the help!!!!!!

I have everything plugged up at this moment but will try to correct it the way you mentioned.

I do have some black smoke coming out of the tailpipes at idle so maybe this is the problem.

I will look into this in the morning thanks!!!!!!
