I've had luck finding buyers at events. I also have two customers who constantly flip cars at shows too. Remember, it just takes that one guy...

I sold my cover car 34 ford at Indy good guys two years ago. The car was parked in the far back corner of the swap section. It was a rainy mud invested day. Never even pulled it out of the trailer (back ramp door was left open for viewing) It sold in 3hrs within 2grand of my asking price which was still a good chunk of change. Might I add it was ALL cash given to me in a paper grocery bag and thats no bs.

Where else are you going to find that kind of concentration of potential car guys and have a good time while peddling it? You can do the car corral where "For Sale" cars are specifically parked which I believe also allows you to run the car in the Good Guys' classifieds if it doesn't sell or just enter it in the show and put up a big sign with your cell phone # and walk away but you'd be hard pressed to not have a good time while probably putting money in your pocket.

Its one of the best places to sell an low-end to average car. You wont find the $50,000+ buyers that you will at consignment auctions, but there definitely are buyers, and plenty of them.

My old neighbor got 7 grand for a #4 Vette with a engine knock,14 inch wire wheels and window louvers on it. Like I said, one of the best places to sell.

I have sold two cars in the Car Coral at the Good Guys show. About 8 years ago I sold my 84 Z28 for top dollar at the time, and I sold my original 1970 El Camino SS 396 for what I wanted last November. Lots of lookers but only one offer each time. But, for the right price, that is all it takes.
