i prefer the all satin black look myself also but since you already have the firewall blue i would do the fenders blue also. when i see a car with a body color fire wall and black fender it just doesn't look good or flow at all.
don't forget steves bad penny its got body colored fenders and firewall and still show cases his engine like fine jewelry.

In the end... black won out... mostly becuase it'll be easier to touch up long term... but it looks like the right choice too!

As a fellow Airmen, good choice on keeping it black! You should've gotten some of the SR71 carbonyl iron ferrite flat black!

Something I find interesting since I've had cars from all of the big 3, is that many, as shown by the majority of the voting in this poll, GM and Ford guys are ardent supporters of black engine bays, while the Mopar guys are almost rabid about body colored engine bays. And they engien bay color is usually one of the first complaints or compliments that will make or break a viewers opinion. Weird.
