How deep of a pan can you run? Or how deep is the one you have now on the car? I have seen them from 7" deep 4 qt to 8.25" deep 7 qt.
A stock chev small block 4 qt pan is 7" deep.
On my second gen with a stock subframe and stock pan on a 350 I have about an inch between the bottom of the pan and the bottom of the crossmember. So I can run an 8" deep, 7qt. pan and be flush (or very close) with the crossmember.
Hambuergers has one like this on the Summit site, it does not have any kick outs. It is 188.00.
There are several with and without kickouts. 4,5 and 7 qt capacity. They run from 7" to 8.25" deep. Take a look and you should find what you need. Prices are all over the place. Some cheap, some not so cheap.
Be sure to check the max rod stroke clearance of the pan. The Hamburgers unit above will clear a 4.00" stroke with a OE rod.
