I have my wheels up in the quarters and was wondering what did you guys use to find the exact measurement between each wheel hub so I know what to cut my diff down to?? Also is an inch on either side of my tire enough clearance from the quarter and on the inside wheel house?

I would think an inch of clearance is more than enough - maybe too much!
I would just accurately position the wheels where you want them and measure between the wheel mounting surfaces. Be sure to take into account the brake package that you are going to run etc. when you have the housing narrowed. All of those factors can affect the overall width.
I agree, one inch on the outside edge of the tires to the quarter is going to be too sucked in looking, like a old Pro Street car. I would go with a 1/2" on a 4 link car, 3'4" on a leaf spring car.
Mock the tires in place, be sure to measure the front and rear of the tire to assure the tires are square (no toe in or out) in the openings, then measure between the hubs mounting pads.
I took the old axles out,cut the end off of one, slid them inside of a piece of pipe. Then adjusted them to width and tach welded them in place. Raised into position with a jack in the center(with wheels and tires on). Then pivoted it back and forth at different heights to simulate going over uneven ground.
All good advice above. Just make sure you know the thickness of the disc brake rotor hat and subtract that spec from each side of the wheel surface to wheel surface measurement. It's a got's ya that most people don't think about. Don't ask me how I know.
ok I hope I did this right....I put the wheels up in the quarters and squared them up by measuring up centre to centre of the tires front and rear,then I made sure the wheels were level up and down,then I did 3 measurements around the wheel well inner lip to tire.The tire in the middle of the wheel well to the quarter lip is 3/4",at the back of the wheel well I have 1/2" from quarter lip to tire and finally I have an 1" and 1/4" at the front of the wheel well tire to quarter lip.My overall flange to flange width is 56 and 3/8".My rotor flanges are 1/4" thick so multiply this by 2 and minus that from my overall lengh and my new diff flange to flange measurement should be 55 and 7/8". My rear rims as per Fikse measurements on my invoice are
18x12 with 6.125" backspacing.Does all this sound
right????
