The car looks gorgeous! Great job on it. The intake really dresses up the engine bay.

thats a lot of hose. I don't like how close it looks to your tailpipes. I used hardline and then a nice 12" line from the hardline to the tank. Another thing i noticed is that you are using the clip style efi connectors. I hard they leak and have caused fires so i went with the new upgraded style.

It's not regular hose. It's braided nylon with steel inside the hose. It had to be cut with a cut off wheel just like you would use with regular stainless braided. The tail pipes are a little close but I'm gonna wrap the lines with heat shield wrap and gonna make up a heat shield for the fuel filter. I have been using the push style connectors on GMs for ever and never had an issue. Just figured if GM has used them this long it must be good enough for my application. But thanks for the tip on the other style.

I just read thru the entire thread, your car looks amazing and I love the intake. If you dont mind me asking what brand of fuel line did you use and where did you get the clamps for the fuel line? Especially the duel clamps I am getting ready to do my fuel system and I love the looks of yours. Thanks ahead of time.

Thanks for the compliment. I got the fuel line and clamps from torontoturbo.com here local. I'm sure Jason would ship them out. The single clamps are the double clamp just trimmed down for single application. I hope this helps u out.

Your car looks great! Love the clean look of the gauges. They look perfect in the DSE dash. What are they? Is the tach & speedo between the sizes of 3-34" & 5"?

The gauges are 4 3/8 and the dash insert is a steel piece I had made up from the 69 nova slightly tweaked to fit my car. The manufacturer performance vehicle works. Tim is a great guy to work with. It's been a few years since they made it for me.

The gauges are new vintage USA.

Hello all. Last several months have been no different than the last several years. She fought one hell of a fight, and I fought back. I think both the Camaro and I are all the better for it though. Dare I say, I think I'm done? No, but close enough! Gone Tourin'...

Hey guys I'm very humbled by the kind words. No words can express how I'm feeling these past few months. I'm giving the car a big push to have it done cause my daughter is graduating junior high next week a asked if I could drive her to the ceremony in the camaro. I couldn't be more proud so I gave it all I got with a lot of help from great friends and family. I just hope it behaves the day of which is next week. Fingers crossed and thanks again for all the compliments.

Jim I wonder myself some times if I was crazy taking on this car. But I had it out and it works unbelieveable. I can't believe how many people compliment the wheels. First time I laid eyes on the mule I knew I had to have them. Thanks for the kind words.

Jeff I wish we were coming to good guys this year with the cars but next year I wanna make the run and hopefully along side My buddy Joe in the chevelle. Ya I'm gonna keep it and enjoy this one for sure. Took it to a local car last night and the response was overwhelming. This car wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for Touring.com and Lat G and the incredible people I have met on these sites.
I would like to thank everyone for all their help and guidance.
Thanks again!!

Hello everyone..... I just found out that photobucket has finally released my pics so Im gonna load a few that I have taken the past 3 summers. Ive been really enjoying the car and made a few more upgrades. I swapped out rear DSE Leaf springs and went with a wicked 4 link from Ride tech and absolutely love it!!!!!!! Swapped out my front Procar seats for a set of custom front seats all wrapped in leather. And finally and cam an head swap that really woke it up!!! She is bad ass with gas mileage to boot!!!!!! I hope you guys enjoy the pics!!

This build is AWESOME
Stance of car is perfect.
Color selection is very appealing and shows off the 69 body lines
Are those Fikse wheels? I love your wheel selection.
Consistent fasteners in the engine bay (and everywhere else) is one of my “pet peeves” and you did such a nice job in the pics I saw.
Instrument panel is so clean and well organized.
I am not a fan of Optima batteries so I won’t critique what I saw in your trunk, LOL! My car is under Jim and Geralyn’s 68 on this forum as a feature car.
Although the article shows I run a red top Optima, it was my third and final one and I now run an Odyssey battery with no more electrical issues. But I digress.
Will you be going to any GoodGuys events? I would love to see your car in person.
Finally: CONGRATULATIONS! You’ve been on a long path for years and years.., Now drive it like you stole it!

Jim thank you so much for the kind words. I tried my absolute best to build the best car a blue collar guy could build in his 2 car garage. I’ve said it before and I will say it again.......this car would have never happed if it wasn’t for the amazing members from this site and Pro Touring.com that I call family!!! They helped me overcome massive obstacles that I thought were impossible to pass. Thank you to everyone once again. Car came out amazing and I’ve been enjoying the hell out of it for the past 5 years. I’m even considering selling it to build something new with my son. He’s showing a lot of interest and really want to keep him involved with the hobby if I can. I love the build aspect of these things as weird as it sounds.
