I have been giving some thought to just finding a finished car that is real close to what I want and trade my cars for one finished one.

Lately It seems I just want to go to the garage, back out the car, dust it off and go for a cruise! I guess I am getting tired of having a couple cars (one close to done) and the other that needs to have paint, interior etc! seems like I spend more time trying to get one to were I want it, rather than being able to just have a kick ass ride thats finished and completely done!

Does anyone else go thru this?

Thanks for letting me whine!:D

Yeah I understand where your coming from until recently I owned a 67 bug, a 68 camaro, a 56 bmw isetta, a 88 monte carlo ss, and a 05 scion tc. I've realized that owning this many projects at once gets you no where. I decided to focus on the camaro and sell everything else. the scion will be my daily driver and will remain stock but with the other cars gone I am now able to focus on my pride and joy

I know what you mean. I just don't have the kind of patience it takes to spend three years or more building a car. And I'm starting to tire of all the "tinkering" too. In fact, I'm planning on selling my El Camino and moving into something more, shall we say, up to date. :unibrow:

All I can say is if you try to leave this behind, it won't let you. You will sell your cars, and later regret it. You will see all the neat stuff people are doing with theirs. You will see all of the new products and technologies that people are updating their cars with. You will forget all of the toiling and struggling with the cars you once worked on; or you will convince yourself that it will be "different" this time.

Admit it. It is in your blood, and even a blood transfusion won't get rid of it.

Sure, you can take some new car wonder drug, and it will work for a little while. But then it will wear off, and you will discover that what you really need is the real thing. Of course you know that NOBODY can concieve and build your real thing but YOU.

Then you will be back.

Oh I am not talking about leaving for a NEW car, I was considering trading my two for something that is finished, actually something in the early 60'S that is complete and already done that I like.... I am just getting tired of not having mine all finished it seems like I dont see the light at the end of the tunnel syndrome!

Yeah, I get that sometimes but like BThibodeaux said, I know I would regret it and I would definitely be back  .
