The price is 29k. Is it worth it and is it a collectible? It had Gold paint with the hockey stripe from the factory. That's the only change to the car, well that and the flowmasters. There is a video of the paint job as there was no rust on the car at all from what is being said to me.

$29k?

Wow.. that seems like a great price going by the pictures. Couldn't build it for that given what the base cars go for.

Oh, thought you said Chino (which is by me).. Chico is north of San Francisco though.

Being an automatic hurts the price, but the asking price seem more than reasonable. Plus it's just a cool looking car. I can't see how you would loose much $$ on it over the next few years.

Then again I thought the Cuda would bring a million. What do I know...

I'm just kind of curious about these cars and if this is a possible good investment. Also looking to see if anyone is near Chico. Who is a cuda expert around here?

I am no expert, but I wanted a Cuda before I bought the Chevelle. I never saw a car like you linked to at that price. Cars in that range needed a lot of work.

If I had the money it would be mine.

I don't see you loosing any money on that car. It will never be worth crazy money but it should consistently appreciate in price. Hell, I'm happy if I don't loose money.. lol

Like Jody said, If I had the $$$ I would buy it in a second for that price. (assuming it doesn't have hidden "issues")

I agree, buy it before I financially dig myself deeper to get another car I don't need. I saw the ad also, I think is a bargain. The more expensive the 70-71's get (and out of reach financially for most), the more this one will too.

Man, this hobby is a sickness..:faint:

I'm sure you guys are right, but I would like to know about the cuda's as well. I don't mind buying them, as long as I don't lose money on them. My biddest thing is that I need to learn about these cars. I was sad to see Ron's car #1225 only get 82k. It was worth much more IMHO.

Ron's car was worth more. I think the modern Hemi hurt the car with the "chalk guys" and the fact that it was mostly stock other than that hurt it with the "custom guys". Seems like a custom has to be WAY OVER to get attention or a resto has to be dead on to generate big bids.

Look at that red HEMI AAR Cuda clone.. thing was beautiful but it only pulled a low gavel price.

I don't think the car you posted here to go crazy in value, but it should steadily go up in price as the 70's get harder to get. We need a 'Cuda expert in here though.

Yeah you're right. I'm thinking of doing a 70-71 cuda that doesn't have any matching numbers, but getting the best period correct pieces and putting together a "what if" or a "period correct" type of car and seeing what that can do, but before I do this Ill have to learn a little about what's right and what's not in those cars, but it seems as if they took a tiny dip from last year, but I don't think that will last long. Id also look for other resto mods as well that are done or close to being done.
