I have a 66 gto
so if i buy coil overs how much are they ?
from what I understand you can adjust your ride height 1 to 2 inches, is this true?
are they springs ?
or can i just by 1 inch lowered springs ? - is that the same thing ?

I have QA1 coilovers on the front of my camaro. I can adjust them up or down 3 inches. I have them at the lowest setting right now, and I wouldn't want them any lower. I highly recommend them, even though I haven't driven the car yet, coilovers are light years ahead of drop springs as you can adjust the height and most coilovers come with a knob to adjust bound/rebound of the shocks.
You won't regret purchasing them.

Front coil overs for Pontiac's I believe adjust up to 1 1/2". Check with Year One Tech Dept. Call of couple of manufactures and explain what you objective is.

DRock, while shocks may very well adjust up and down 3", QA1 will be the first to tell you no more then 1", 1 1/2" tops. lowering more then that is a serious risk to the shock body.
Robbie, if you looking for a budget drop, I would look into Hotchkis drop springs, possibly even a complete TVS kit. We can hook you up with either QA1 coil overs or Hotchkis.

Robbie, this vendor (Prodigy Customs) is an excellent choice to get you started in the right direction.
There is also a pro-touring book out, you can purchase it at any book store.
I don't recall the name of it. Help guys________________________.
This will give you a much better understanding as to what can be done to your car to improve stance, driveability, etc.
