It is on the way. I am having the rear piece(speedster) made now.
That looks awesome, especially those rollbars!! That is awesome. Do you have any other angels of the car to get a better shot at your concept for those.
Looks awesome!

I really like the speedster idea. Are you going to have a working top as well?
Ummgawa

Yes, My intent is to have a fully functional top (manual) underneath the removable speedster piece.
Again I say my Intent....

Jim,
Looks great, I like your final decision on the paint!.....Just out of curiosity, do you plan on having the "speedster" piece breakdown to fit in the car if you were out somewhere and it started raining etc....If you had to put the top up, will it be portable?...I think it is an awesome idea, and will look great.

Kris and I emailed today, he said he'd have 5 different angles by this afternoon (remember 7 O'Clock in Sunny California is 10:00 on the east Coast-LOL).
Thanks for the good feedback and Thanks again Jody for the paint scheme.

Glad everyone digs the renderings. Jim's car is gonna rule. I haven't finished the other views just yet, had a lot of work today!
I broke my own record, I finished a car in one (1) day. Wow. I'm actually sore...
Stay tuned. I'll post em when they're done later this evening.

Jim, I've thought about some type of hard cover for quite a while. Is yours adaptable to 69's in general? Just a plain hard cover? BTW - looks terrific!
Here you go, looks great.

My piece is being made out of 14-16 guage. A whole lot of metal work and fabricating. I hope I can have it duplicated in Fiberglass and sell a few. I couldn't be the only one that likes it... :D

I'm interested, seriously. Keep in touch, please.
Also, I'd be interested in buying a poster if you print some up.

When I get the rear piece finished, I am going to have a few made out of fiberglass (hopefully) to check interest in the part for other vert owners. I think the 67-8's are simular, We'll see.

Jim,
Is it one roll bar with two humps--like a Boxter, or is it two separate hoops?
Ummgawa
03-19-2005, 04:03 PM
One roll bar two Hoops, reinforced below the speedster section for strength.
