Letter from wife:
I am writing to ask if you could find it in your heart to save my husband from his peril. He is building a 1969 convertible Camaro from the ground up, and judging from the way it is going it will be a very long time and probably at least a few hundred more dollars before he will finish without your help. He works on the car all of the time, which means he has to miss out on all of the fun things in life. He never gets to go with me to visit my mother. He never gets to go shopping with me at the mall. He even had to miss a wedding shower last week. Surprisingly, he never complains. He does manage to take time off from the car to play a little poker with his friends every once in a while though. Speaking of his friends, they just seem to make matters worse for him. They always come over and distract him when he is trying to make progress on the car. They just sit there and drink beer in the garage. What’s worse is that they make him drink beer too, and force him to describe in detail the work he has done so far on the car. They even make him demonstrate how all those different thingies on the car work, while they just sit there and drink beer in the garage.
So, as you can see, my husband is in a terrible pickle, and has no life at all. Mr. Foose you can give him his life back by taking his car and Overhaulin’ it in just seven days! All of the stuff that goes on the car is stacked on the floor in the garage. If you could take all of that stuff with the car, he could have his garage back, and we could park our other cars in there.
Thank you so much for your consideration.
