Mine goes back 7+ years when I spent a lot of time on snowmobile and motocross forums. Xc was the sled I rode and YZ for the YZ250 I had. XcYZ is short and easy to type in! lol

I still ride sleds (mountain riding is the best, just ask Bill), but I'm semi-retired from MX.

Obviously I have no originallity as I could not even come up with a good handle...maybe I should change my name to "Dead Cat" As in...you can"t swing a dead cat without hitting a 69 camaro. And to think that I was going to have the only pro-touring 69 camaro. I could always use my cars name "Rain Maker". No, I like dead cat better. I wonder if that license plate is taken in NC.?

69MyWay
03-11-2005, 08:49 AM
69MyWay goes back a number of years when Radrambler still had one of his 69 Camaros. He wanted a license plate that said that. I always thought it was cool, but didn't think much more about it after that.

I got involved in the web based forums and used my regular name for a while. I realized as I started the build on my 69 Corvette that I was truly doing things MYWAY, so I stole the idea from Radrambler.

Years later I still use that handle on most all sites. It now works really well since I have my 69 Camaro back and I am also building it MYWAY.

However, my personal tag on the Camaro says "MYNAGIN"

I was inspired by Payton's post and decided to do an experiment to see if I could swing a dead cat, without hitting a 69 camaro at my house. Not having access to an actual dead cat, I had to substitute the next best thing, our Himalayan cat, Chato. (I'm told that Chato, roughly translated from Spanish means, "ugly, pushed-in, flat face")

Chato has a pulse rate of about 5 beats per minute. Himalayan, in his case, means, "Him-a-layin around all day". The results of the swinging trials were as follows:

Trial# Result

1 Struck front frame rail of 67 ElCamino pro-street chassis
2 Struck tail pan of Green 69 Camaro 327/Auto car (Success!)
3 Struck right front tire of 94 GMC Yukon
4 Struck door handle and qtr window of Gold 69 Camaro (Success!)
5 Struck windsheild of red 66 Mustang
6 Trial aborted, no vehicles hit, had to recapture Chato
7 Struck lower front fender extension of Gold 69 Camaro (Success!)
8 Struck jackstand
9 Struck mailbox
10 Trial Aborted, getting strange looks from mailman

So the trials would indicate that while it is indeed possible to swing a "dead" cat without hitting a 69 camaro, you will probably still hit one about 30% of the time. Some might argue that trials #6 and #10 are inadmissable to the data set, since a real dead cat would not have required recapture, and the mailman may not have cared, if the cat used for the testing was actually dead.

Disclaimer: The above events are fiction. No animals were harmed in this experiment. Your mileage may vary. Symptoms may include dizzyness, nosebleed, or sore throat. Patients taking anabolic steroids or selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors, should not swing dead cats.

Fluid Power

Fluid Power = The type of business I am involved in. I own a business that designs/builds/installs automation equipment and we also sell the parts used to fix our machines/other peoples machines. The industry is called 'fluid power' from the days of hydraulic fluid. 99% of all the work we do is pneumatic.
