Finally had a chance Friday to finish up the installation of the Lateral Dynamics 3-Link. I can't say enough about Mark and Matt and their product. It is simply top notch.
All told the installation took two days and was very straight forward although it helps to be starting with a 'clean slate'.
Matt’s fabrication skills, as seen in the quality of the narrowed 9”, is top notch. A lot of thought went into the kit, with details like the jacking plate, large filling hole, and -6 AN fitting for the remote reservoir/vent.
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/build/rearsuspension/ld%20diff.jpg
It is a really complete kit with all of the parts and pieces that you need included. The only thing that I would like to have seen included in the kit would have been safety washers for a couple of the rod ends and shocks.
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/build/rearsuspension/LD%20Parts.jpg
We did the install with a plasma cutter and cleaned it up with cutting disks and die grinder. You could easily do it with a 3” cutting wheel as well.
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/build/rearsuspension/ld%20first%20cut.jpg
The front cross member ties across the front of the rear frame and is the support for the upper and lower 3-link arms.
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/build/rearsuspension/ld%20front%20cross.jpg
It doesn’t take much to get a nice tight fit.

Once the front and rear crossmembers have been installed the actual assembly of the three link is quite simple. It’s amazing how easily adjustable it is and how minor changes with the links can adjust the rear end in a variety of ways.
No shocks yet so we have the 1” x 1” square stock cut to length to simulate their position compressed at ride height.
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/build/rearsuspension/LD%201.jpg
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/build/rearsuspension/LD%2011.jpg
The DSE mini-tubs look bigger from this perspective.
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/build/rearsuspension/LD%203.jpg
The string was used to center the housing in the wheelwell.
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/build/rearsuspension/LD%2012.jpg
It’s too bad that there has to be a gas tank (or something else) that will block the view.

The reproduction floor included a brace that I assume was for convertibles that we had to remove (that is the unprimered section) – there are enough double panels back there without one more that we don’t need.
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/build/rearsuspension/LD%209%20in.jpg
We’ll expand the clearance around the center link and try to make it as stock looking as possible when it’s done.
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/build/rearsuspension/LD%208%20in.jpg
There is still room for a back seat if desired (we played with some 3rd gen rear seats and they fit perfectly) but the rear cage will eliminate that possibility in our case.
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/build/rearsuspension/LD%207%20in.jpg
We need to add clearance for the shocks and exhaust and will do something to clean up the transition at the top from the cross member to the trunk floor.

That is so nice! Being in Alberta, I am guessing you installed it yourself as opposed to sending it to So Cal for the install. How do you rate the install from a difficulty and technical perspective?
Thanks,

Looking back at the installation, I would have to say that it was actually easier than I had anticipated. The problems that we did encounter were more due to reproduction panels and components than the Lateral Dynamics 3-link.
The hardest part of the installation are the front and rear crossmembers and they are really no harder than installing subframe connectors. It took us an easy day to get them in; the installation is more time consuming than difficult. The front crossmember is fit relative to guide holes in the factory frame and is a gradual process that is ultimately cut, fit, cut, fit, and so on until it is in position. No special tools were required and it can easily be done with or without a lift (we did use a lift but that was more about making it easier for us than being neccessary). The only place that we encountered any 'difficulties' with the front was due to the repro floor - the rear third of the tunnel is actually 1/2" - 3/4" shorter than a stock tunnel which made some additional work making the floor transition into the crossmember. Also, the repro floor has additional bracing for convertibles which we had to remove for convenience if nothing else.
The rear cross member is installed relative to the rear axle centerline - which we placed to be precisely centered within the wheelwell. The cut into the trunk is very simple and although the installation is actually easier than the front we took a lot of time measuring and remeasuring to ensure that it was placed correctly - both front to back and side to side. We did encounter some difficulties with the rear cross member installation but that was due to the reproduction frame rails which seemed to just a touch different than the stock ones. Not enough to be really noticable until you have to fit a precision piece of steel that has no give.
Once the time came to install the actual 3-link and rear end it was exceptionally straight forward. We took almost as much time screwing around with the different adjustment points after it was in than we did putting it in place. I am amazed at the range of adjustability (compared to the ladder bar and four link setups I have used in the past) and the simplicity once you can see how the different points interact.
The best part of the installation was Mark and Matt themselves. Even though we were thousands of miles apart, both of them made themselves available by phone and 'net throughout the installation and were extremely helpful with even the simplest questions. I can not remember the last time that a vendor was this accessible and helpful - regardless of time or day. My hat is off to Lateral Dynamics - its a great product and the team there is genuinly enthusiastic about cars and their product.
Ultimately, in my opinion, if you are comfortable enough with your building and fabrication skills to be considering a project of this kind, you are probably going to be capable of doing the installation.
A couple of pictures of the crossmember installation with the sheetmetal cleaned up:
It seemed easiest to start with an actual tunnel. Fortunately we have a “willing” donor out back.
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/building%203link%20tunnel.jpg
Which eventually started to take the right shape for us.
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/Inner%20Tunnel%201.jpg
With only a little bit of convincing.
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/Inner%20Tunnel%202.jpg
In the end it came out fairly well. We finished it to look better from underneath than on top because ultimately this will be covered.
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/3link%20tunnel%20done.jpg
I think that more material will have to come out for the exhaust but it’s a start.

Thanks for the feedback and additional pics! Everyone seems to have great things to say about the product and the guys at Lateral Dynamics. I am going with quite a bit simpler setup in my current project, but this is definitely something I would like to eventually go to, or incorporate into the next build.
Thanks again!

Well I have lost track of the time that the metalwork has taken on the OLC Camaro (well, I wish I had lost track of the time - the actual number is just shy of 700 hours over the last 10 months) but we are finally done with the metal work on the tub. The Lateral Dynamics 3-Link is in and the ATS front subframe is ... we'll have to wait for SEMA for that. I'll do more of an update after the show but for now:
November 2005 – The starting point:

I wanted to take a minute to thank Tyler, Shane, and Russel from American Touring Specialties for a great time at the SEMA show. Despite scrambling to finish moving in on Monday they were kind enough to invite us over and give us a tour of their shop.
ATS simply rocks - their people, products, and services are top notch and I recommend that anyone who has the chance should give them a call and check them out (if they have not already).
For those of you who were not able to make the show here are a couple of pictures of the sub that they had in their booth. Thing to note include their new coil over conversion, their new Sidewinder serpentine setup for LSx engines, their new carbon fiber LSx valve covers, not to mention their killer headers, power steering box and T56 coversion kit.
Thanks again,
James
At first look there is so much to take in:

Our Stainless tank from Rick's Stainless arrived Friday (thanks Rick :hail: ) and we will get it mounted when we get the car back on a lift. Then we can figure out how we are going to mount the exhaust, rear end cooler, and plumbing for the brakes and traction control. It's kind of busy back there:

Thanks again to all of our sponsors for their help in getting us to this point - American Touring Specialties, Lateral Dynamics, Heighton Restorations, Ididit, Inc., Tiltion Engineering, and Rick's Stainless. Also, thanks to Midnite Octane and Lateral-G Webdesign. All of these vendors are top notch organizations.
The fun is really starting so stay tuned, there will be more soon.

The Roll Bar looks great.
Was it custom, or a kit from someone?
We built the roll cage from scratch. When I laid out the bars my main concern was keeping it tight to the body. We ended up building it so tight in some places that we wound up cutting into the body - the front down tubes, rear down tubes, and halo hoop all required some "clearancing". It came out well but I doubt that many people would be inclined to go the same route.
Wow! That is one beautifully executed roll cage. Nice work.
Thanks Steve - I think you more than anybody probably knows how hard it is to come up with something that is safe and/or certifiable and streetable at the same time. It's a difficult balance.

We had a chance to build the exhaust for the OneLapCamaro project last week. Unlimited Performance in Calgary bent up some three inch out of the ATS Road Race Headers into a X-pipe and then over the Lateral Dynamics 3-link and out. Where to start...
Mount shocks and remote reservoirs with plumbing
Plumb diff cooler with remote pump
Fit axles and brakes, plumb brake lines
Mock up Toyo R888's, trim quarter as needed and order wheels
Run sensors for traction control
Plumb fuel and return lines
Run battery cable to starter
Finish running lines for A/C
Cut tunnel for shifter
Final fit for oil cooler, trans cooler, and ps cooler
and a couple of bits and pieces here and there before blowing it apart
we're hoping to have the underside done and in paint with the interior and roll cage first week in December.
Thanks for reminding me of the list, it's been like twelve hours since I last stressed about it - lol.

Well we finally made it to the point where we are starting work on the engine for the OneLapCamaro project. We were fortunate to find nice donor to use as a starting point:
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/ls7%201.bmp
It came out ot an '07 with just 5,000 miles on it. The owner was upgrading to a twin turbo setup.

A couple of weeks ago out it came:

http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/ls7 out 2.bmp

And now it's over at Katech Engine Development for a complete teardown and rebuild to their Street Attack specifications.
This should be a lot of fun. I'll try to post pictures through the build process.
Cool, James. I'm looking forward to seeing the progress at Katech. You should get Jason to stop by here.

I was talking to Jason about that the other day; I'll mention it again when I talk to him today.
The ATS Sidewinder and road race dry sump pan are on their way there now. It should be on the dyno in 3 or 4 weeks.

I thought the Katech Street Attack was 23K out right? Was it more cost effective to get the donor engine? I most likely am confused but I thought they took a crate engine and rebuilt to their specs. In any case you have a nice project.
James OLC
12-07-2007, 02:17 PM
You can buy the engine outright or have your LS7 done. Basically the list price includes the cost of a crate engine. In my case I got a smoking deal on the take out so it definately worked in my favor.

Well the engine is together and we are currently waiting in the que for some dyno time - hopefully we get an opportunity next week. A couple of people have asked me about the treatment that Katech does with the factory titanium rods – replacing the factory bearngs with new bronze bushings - so I thought I would post some pictures of the process.
First, Katech takes the connecting rods and press out the factory split bushing.
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/katech%20rod%201.JPG
Using a proprietary process, they install the solid bronze high modulus rod bushing in a manner that does not scuff or score either surface.
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/katech%20rod%202.JPG
Then the rod gets sent over to the CNC manufacturing shop at Katech where they machine the contour of the bushing to match the factory rod.

I have to say that thus far Katech has been awesome to deal with and that you really do get what you pay for. The detail work that they do prior to and during assembly far exceeds anything that I have encountered before (and this isn't my first rodeo). They noted irregularities with one valve guide and between two cylinders (possibly due to detonation and probably due to a poor nitrous tune from the last owner) which have been brought back in line with their very exacting specifications. The also took the time to pressure test the oil pan prior to intallation (I know, that's what I said too) to ensure that everything would be 100%. Increadible attention to detail. :hail:

The factory bushings are a split style; Katech replaces them with the high modulus bronze bushings because they are more capable of handling compression loads compared to the stock ones. I am sure that the bearings are more than sufficient in stock applications.

Sweet! How about some specs?
James OLC
03-19-2008, 08:51 AM
Katech does a complete rebuild of the LS7 for the Street Attack build. In my case I had picked up a relatively economical takeout from an ’07 Z06 that I found on LS1Tech.com which I sent to them to be upgraded (although they can also start with a new crate engine as well).
After doing a complete disassembly and inspection, the block and heads are machined (deck and hone) as required to meet Katech’s blueprint specs. In my case there was what appeared to be (nitrous?) detonation damage that required some additional (head) machine work and a new guide – not a surprise to me as I had been getting the impression that the engine had been used hard by it’s original owner (although to this day he denies ever using spray) - this also required in the replacement of two intake and exhaust valves.
The factory Titanium rods were rebushed (see this thread (http://www.lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=12362)for more info on that), new forged pistons (11.35:1) with DLC coated pins are attached and then the short block is balanced and blueprinted to Katech’s fairly exacting standards. In the end we installed a Katech Torquer camshaft (and played a bit with the advance) with high speed lifters to keep things relatively civil (although a World Challenge cam may be the next illogical step). The heads were completely rebuilt with new honeycomb high lift valve springs and titanium retainers and the long block was assembled the entire assembly was pressure tested (yes, it was) before Tyler’s Sidewinder accessory drive was installed.
Then it was off to the dyno for an initial break in and a quick check that everything was as it should be. I don’t have the final dyno numbers yet (I may have mentioned that we screwed around with some stuff on the dyno) but on the break in run with the soft dyno program we made 500+ ft.lbs. of torque from 2500 to 6250 rpm with a peak of 560 ft.lbs. at 4800 rpm. I may be able to say more about the dyno results in the next little while as well I have a dyno vid coming which should be interesting.

Thanks guys - I appreciate the kind words.
It seems like it's been a slow week but we've been making progress although much of it is slow and tedious.
We wet sanded and polished the firewall:

It's been a slow two weeks between holidays and an unfortunate delay at the coaters but I'm back on it now. We got the headers ceramic coated and installed now. I love the headers from this point of view - you never really get to see it and it really gives you an idea how much beef the ATS headers have:

James, projects going great. Love the brake set up on the firewall. Reminds me of Travis B's camaro set up. Real clean look. I would have done it this same way if I had the Know how but gotta draw the budget line somewhere:mad: Thanks for the pictures.
This car is really coming together...just awesome. Why did you go with the ricks tank? Are you going to put the gas tank in a cage? For example: Steve's 68 or vins 68...I was just curious

Sometimes the progress is slow but thanks for the compliment, they are always appreciated.
I went with the tank from (Rick's Stainless (http://www.rickshotrodshop.com/) because it met all of the projects needs at this point in it's "life":
It has a killer Kinsler spec Bosch fuel pump mounted internally
Supply and return line plumbing is all AN right off the bat
It is clearanced on the forward end for the exhaust
It fits in the original space and configuration
Fit, finish and quality is absolutely second to none
not to mention the fact that Rick and Hector and everyone at the shop are great to work with and always have a minute to answer questions and work through problems. None of the other fuel tank or cell vendors that I have used in the past had (IMHO) anything close to the Rick's tank so it was an easy decision in the end.
The Rick's tank does not require additional bracing or a cage; it uses two stainless straps and is mounted just like a factory tank. If we make a modification to the fuel system in the future for some regulatory reason then we would look to a slightly less (but still basically) stock layout.

Do you have any more pics or info on the firewall forward bracing that extends to the front of the subframe? What I am interested in is the attachment point between the two. It looks like it is a socket type fit for 1pc strengh in a 2pc set up. Did you make those or are they available from ??
Thanks for your time to answer everyones questions as well as document this al for us.

Thanks Kevin - the project has been a lot of fun and sometimes takes on a life of it's own (case in point, Chris is still at the shop working on the rear close out pan right now). I sometimes think that I document everything as much for me as for the community - looking through this thread and my other files it's amazing how far the car has come.
The firewall to sub bars were built in house. The ends consist of a pair (male and female for lack of a better term) that we machined thanks to the always amazing Matt. I have had a couple of other people ask about them and we are looking to do a short production run of them in the next little while if there is sufficient interest.
A couple of machining pics for now - I'll add some assembly pics later in the week when we mate the two halves.

The Bosch pump that Kinsler spec'ed for us when we were discussing injection setups is part number 10211. It's rated to 390 lbs/hr at 70 psi pressure.
Kinlser has a decent pump comparison in their tech manual here (http://www.kinsler.com/Cat_31_Web_HTMLs/0201234_screen59.html).

super build! what i dont get is if its a one lap car.. why the front sheetmetal is steel and not aluminum??.. or CF.. i mean in a racecar less weight equals more speed and less tirewear..
its so close to penny it should almost be named dolly (the cloned sheep) no offence intended, it just seems alittle showcar'ish and not a true one lap uncompromizing streetable racecar
but love the build.. it is exactly what a g.mashine is in my book... a streetable racecar...

Every spring, Heighton Restoration in Beiseker, AB has an open house and car show. Since we were mocking up the sheetmetal to make sure the fit was correct before welding the subframe in Chris thought it would be cool make the car half way presentable for the show. I think the results are killer:
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/june%2013%201.jpg
The stance is really close but I think that the actual ride height will be an inch higher front and back when we are done.
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/june%2013%202.jpg
The lower valance and Marquez running lights came out pretty well. The chin spoiler is a Carbon Fiber piece that probably will be replaced soon but definetely shows completes the front end well. We're not quite done on the header panel and a few other bits and pieces but wanted to get all the sheetmetal together one last time before paint.

I agree that the down bars look really good in bare steel as they are now (and that gives me some ideas for the next car or the next next car) but when we are done they will be grey to match the subframe.

Well we're at that point in the build where lots of things are coming together but nothing really dramatic is taking place so I'll give a quick update showing the last of the fabrication that (thankfully) is now just about done.
At the back of the car we've put together a close-out panel that I think really completes the back end of the car:

We also got the bulk off the fuel system plumbed. I'm just waitimg on some fuel rails for the LS7 (which seem to be harder than you would think to get) and then we'll be done the fuel side of the equation (for now).

...yes I know, but you should try finding an ano-tuff 180 degree -8 fitiing in this town on a holiday long weekend (or any other time for that matter). I had to go to a fall back price that was sitting in my tool box for now; we'll change that line out this weekend.

Thanks Travis.
There is a lot of potential in the stock subframe. I am obviously really happy with the ATS package (I actually have two Chicane-LM coilover conversions - this one and another on my other '67 project) and would suggest giving Tyler a call if your interested in specifics. He is more than willing to share technical specifications on the subframe to enable you to compare apples to apples.
Good luck with your project.

Sorry that it has been so long since the last update - we are at that point in the build that doesn't really photograph well. Some people might find the work a little boring but some of it is really cool. In the last couple of weeks we were able to get the front spoiler / splitter together to the point that it's ready for final bodywork.
We also spent the last couple of days getting the coils mounted.
We started with these trick billet coil brackets:
These are prototypes that we had machined for us by Matt at RFR. The final product will be anodized but we wanted to evelate the design before moving forward.

This is the first time I've used the panel. It really makes the wiring simple and cuts down tremendously on the time and amount of wires and other neccessary evils (it's also a more economical solution in the long run compared to conventional wiring layouts). I Squared is doing some really exciting things right now (that hopefully I can discuss more soon) but they make a top notch product and a great alternative to some of the other products offered by others.

Building the front splitter.
The first stages of fabication, we based it on a stock spoiler and increased the rake slightly:

James OLC

and finished it off with the spitter itself at the bottom. This is just roughed in at this point; before moving forward with the bodywork Chris and Shane tweaked the corners and the base for a tight, flat fit:
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/spltr%203.jpg
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/spltr%201.jpg
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/spltr%202.jpg
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/spltr%204.jpg
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/spltr%206.jpg
I like that we found a way to follow the original design and take it to the next level. We will probably wind up with a couple of bases - one for the street and one for the track. It's probably not for everybody and that's fine but it fits with the OneLap build and should have a positive effect on the track.

Looking cool, I have to ask what is the cork gasket taped in the pics?
Curious with the spitter (lower portion) as you call it, is that design tested and tried some where? Just thinking on the aerodynamics of it all. Sort of thinking it might have a lifting effect with that flat plane under the car???? I 100% expect and looking forward to you schooling me on it! Love the shape and look.

I don't know if anything exactly like it has been done on a '67 before (I am sure that some one, some where probably has) but it is fairly common on road race cars. The principal behind the splitter is to decrease the volume of air moving under the car and reduce the turbulance (and increase the velocity) of the air that does move under the car. The combination of reduced volume and increased velocity is lower pressure and reduced lift.
We will in all likelyhood have to do some testing to determine the ideal length but we have to get to that point. I am a little concerned about the bend to the second crossmember of the sub but without it the air would just hit the crossmember directly so I don't see how it could be a detriment. Like anything else though, testing will tell.

I thought so but in all honesty the seems to be somethiing taped to something else all over place right now so I thought I would ask. Onr complicacation with the splitter is the removal of most factory (or common) towing points meaning that with the splitter on it would be practically impossible to load it onto a trailer or the inevitable flat deck. Matt at RFR is machining some really neat and simple hooks right now.
I'll give you a shout tomorrow - I need to line up some scales for a day so I can send the shocks out while the car is being painted.
Cheers,

It's actually a '67.
I've been following the cc post on splitters and am comfortable with where we are now. It needs track testing to fine tune the extension (both front and back) and we may play with materials once we have a final track proven layout in hand.

The front end of your 69 looks great.
Please don't take this bad. I also follow a lot of the stuff on Corner Carvers and these are some of the issues guys there are having doing good splitters.
Take it for what you paid for it.
hmm..
the best part about observation is that you might be a knowitall when it comes to splitters but its really embarrassing when you cant even identify the year of the car..
and i think we dont need this site to become another Corner Carvers.... i think im not the only one on that topic..
and they paid for that.. so they took it.

Thanks. It's one of those parts that looks better in person than in my so-so pictures. We had tried a couple of different designs and I think this one honors the original car the best and will be functional. Once it is all together I think it will complete the car well and tie the front and back spoilers together.

Well, the car is in the paint booth as we speak. It's been boarded for the fourth time and is getting it's final wet sand before paint. With any luck Chris will being laying down paint before the end of the week. I'll try to shoot some pictures today.
In the mean time though I guess I should post something before the thread gets completely sidetracked.
Since the splitter pics most of the progress has been subtle and is not really photogenic. We have got most of the engine wired and are waiting for four sensors before we can call it done. Plug wires are built and in place, and the AC lines are out being crimped as we speak (type... whatever). The exhaust is at the coater and the driveshaft is on it's way.
At the back of the car, we have the Optima battery in place as well as the Safecraft fire bottle:
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/trunk%20stuff.JPG
At the front we are looking at some bumpstop alternatives (some are more mundane than others while some are bordering on exotic). No decisions there yet (packaging is tight) but we did a bit of work on the steering arm - baer tracker mounting. One of the difficulties with wider front wheels on the stock subframe (and maybe aftermarket ones as well?) is that when using something like the Baer Tracker tie rod end and bump steer spacers is that the tapered stud is quite long and can interfere with the inner/outer lip of the wheel on the inboard side. Our HREs have nearly a 6" backspacing and interference was definately an issue. The solution is a minor modification to the steering arm and the use of a 5/8" bolt rather than the tapered stud:
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/tie%20rod%20end%202.JPG
Three things to note: (1) there are no any spacers for bump steer in place yet as the car hasn't been aligned at this point (2) a safety washer below the heim is a must and (3) ultimately the castle nut on the top will have a cotter pin in place.
Plenty of clearance now:

Also up front Chris had been working on aligning the front sheetmetal and hood for the final time so we brought out the billet hood latch that Matt at RFR had machined for us:
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/old%20hoodlatch%201.JPG
We have changed the design slightly from this version but wanted to test fit the piece as was and make sure the the alignment and adjustment was there.
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/Old%20latch%20intalled%20far.JPG
The final installation will use Ring Brothers hardware but i think the piece really adds a nice touch, especially since we do not need the safety catch.
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/old%20latch%20installed%20near.JPG
James OLC
08-10-2008, 01:58 PM
The new design is slightly more refined and matches some of the other billet bits that we have integrated under the hood:
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/New%20Hoodlatch.jpg
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/New%20Hoodlatch%202.jpg
It will use the DSE stud and maintains a locknut on the backside:
http://www.onelapcamaro.com/OLC_pics/New%20Hoodlatch3.jpg
I'll post more pictures of this when it is back from the anodizer and installed but there is something that is cool about newly machined raw pieces. We are planning on doing a limited production run of these (and/or the original version) if there is any interest.

The car is now in the booth and getting ready for paint. Chris spent the last couple of days realigning all of the sheetmetal and giving the car it's final boarding. He started on the first wet sanding (400 grit) today (he was on the drivers side roof when I took these) and should have it ready for paint by midweek if everything goes well.
