(Good or bad would depend on your point of view) ;)
After the install of the Vette front cross member there is no way that the 2JZ is going to fit back into this chassis without some major cutting, a dry sump and an intake manifold that sits on my lap. So I would like to announce that I will likely be going to a GM powerplant instead. I have a few ideas brewing but I'll let you guys assume. :unibrow:

Easy, you want that thing as light as possible - you're going LSx.
Ok, how close was I? lol

That is one option. If I go that route it will surely be motivated by the fact that Gale will be making a TT system based off of it.
with a turbo
 Which ever way I go it will surely be turbocharged.
I don't want to give anything away just yet about the other option but let's just say that Mark @ L/D will be intrigued & possibly jealous. Maybe that was to easy of a clue.

Do not go LS1 or Turbo. They are over rated Junk. They do not perform well and are unreliable. LS1's don't really make that much power and turbos will give huge turbo lag!:willy:

I want about 600WHP with whatever engine I decide on. On the other hand I can be around 550WHP with the Ecotec and achieve the same speeds.
With an LSx I can get 600WHP on pump and low boost, where as the Ecotec is going to take race gas and 30 psi to make 500+.
With the Ecotec I should be able to get the car with driver around 2500 lbs.

I was talking with someone the other day about using the inline 6 from a Trailblazer with a Turbo but I sill think the LS1 looks cooler

I think this is a terrific idea, the motor no doubt is going to be hyper with all of the at boost, but I expect the hobby at least in part, to go this direction in the future. J's blazing somewhat of a trail here, and he's smart to realize that weight is the enemy, anything you can do within reason to reduce it is a good thing, it makes EVERYTHING else easier: acceleration, cornering forces, braking, durability concerns, you name it.
That little car is going to whoop some a$$.
