I have a 69 Camaro with a 383. I installed the Vintage Air system for cars without A/C. I'm now in the process of putting the Holley Sniper EFI on my car. The Sniper has optional connections for increasing the idle when the A/C kicks on and another to shut off the air at wide open throttle. Has anyone wired this combo? I called Vintage and they said most setups connect to the 12 volt power for the idle increase but the Holley instructions say to connect to a ground triggered A/C relay. I've tried calling Holley but have given up sitting on hold several times for 30 minutes. Thanks!

Post your question to the holley forum, forums.holley.com (http://forums.holley.com/). Lots of good answers to questions on there. I have a 67, 383 with vintage air and am HIGHLY considering the sniper setup as well and would like to know this answer. How I interpreted the instructions, the existing a/c relay would work, just add the wire from the sniper kit. Also, I'm in KC too. I wouldn't mind coming by to check out the installation.

Got a great explanation on the Holley forum for the idle up wiring. Thanks for the suggestion. A relay needs to be added. Still trying to figure out where to wire the WOT wire.

My guess is that this goes to the TPS sensor and there is a parameter in the Sniper that will shut the compressor off above a certain % TPS value.

Any feedback on the Sniper ? interested in hearing about the A/C deal too, may be doing similar.

Check out the Holley forum. I got good answers to adding relays for the AC idle up and the WOT. I'd tried to add a link but it's not working for some reason. I did talk to a Holley rep and he told me the Sniper would idle up when the AC kicks in without the setup but it would be reactionary instead of anticipating it.
