I am installing Vintage Air and the heater hoses are both 5/8" coming off the V/A unit, my engine is a 2004 GTO LS-1 and the water pump tube connections are 5/8" & 3/4". What is everyone doing to mate the hoses up ? I can machine a tubular transition piece but thought most everyone here has gone down this path already. My preference is a 45° pre molded connection at the water pump for both hoses to route the lines neat and orderly. Options of pulling the water pump, remove the tubes and tap for fittings, use a pre molded 45° elbow and machine up a tubular transition piece, etc.. Please let me know what and how you accomplished the same. Thank You very much.

Dayco 87616 Hose
5/8 Hose belled on one end to 3/4"
I cut the 6" 3/4" part down to about 1 1/2"

Thank you very much for chiming in, I will still need to come up with a 45° elbow at the water pump fitting. This hose will certainly help.

I've never had to use a 45* on the WP. The hose is flexible enough to clear

I used the hoses pictured here. Not the plastic elbows. I'll try and dig up both part numbers.

I went a little bit overkill.
I heated the factory pressed in barbs, grabbed them with vice grips, and knocked them out. I then went ahead and tapped it with 1/2" NPT and 3/8" NPT and bought AN fittings that I'll adapt down. The 1/2" NPT to -10 AN is just a standard 90 degree, then the 3/8" NPT to -10 AN is a swivel as I wouldn't have been able to tighten both without them hitting one another.

I then used Russel Pro Classic since I loved the look and it matched everything else under the hood. I then adapted using 10AN to hose barb fittings behind the fender to just standard rubber 5/8" heater hose where you can't see it. Unfortunately those pics are on my laptop since they're from my old phone.
