I bought these slicks off Camaroboy69 on the board here. I figured, i'm bored i'll throw them on! LOL

My question is... i went for test drive, 2 things i noticed. The car bounced a lot. Tires have 20 psi per side.

2nd question... it feels slower than with the smaller 275/40r17's i have. The tire now is a 28x11 Hoosier quick time pro. Now, admittedly it is kinda humid today, but it felt much much slower than just weather stuff. Any idea why it feels slower? The RPM's dont shoot straight up like they did with the old tires.

Well, for one, you probably don't have any more wheel spin so the car might seem like it has less power. Two, they are 2" taller then the old tires, that will make it a better freeway cruiser and a little doggy off the lights.

Are they a taller tire? Changing to a bigger diameter tire is the same as changing your gearing.

Yup 2" taller tire will have a difference in the way the cars feels under accelleration.

As far as bounce most all slicks and dot street slicks have thin sidewalls and will bounce especially with less air pressure. 20lbs is a good start at the track but you may want to bump it up abit when street driving.
