I just installed speed tech upper and lowers with ride tech coilovers with t-bar on my 68. instructions say that you can install t-bar above or below lower, but i talked to speed tech guys about that and they recommend above. No real issues at all. Hope that helps.

That's how exactly I was analyzing it, above...
Thanks for your input.

On a stock subframe?
you will have to trim the coil spring bucket. also for the best install you would use our Chicane upper bracket, this will reduce or eliminate any side loading of the shock shaft and probably make them last longer.

stock frame, aware of the spring pocket trimming. When You guys sell the chicane kit, is the shock assembly used with that kit actually longer than the one used in coil over kit for such as ridetech or qa1 that mounts into
stock spring pocket? or its just the top shock mount is changed?

here is a link to the install instructions http://www.speedtechperformance.com/pdf/Chicane_CO_conversion_67-69_Camaro2.pdf

I would suggest installing the brackets and control arms and then measuring the shock length, but yes it will be aprox 1" longer
