335/ 30-18 Pirelli or Michelin tire availability?

Does anyone know of an available pair of P Zero Rosso or PS-2's in this size? I am told by Tire Rack & Discount Tire the Michelins are discontinued & the Pirellis are on B/O. Also need a pair of 245/40-18, but those seem to be more readily available.

Anyone know of a dealer or disty that has any in stock?
I am running BFG Rivals & want more of a street tire.

I can't help you with either of those brands, but what about Falken Azenis RT615K? I was pretty happy with those as street tires that also did track events. And it should be available in your sizes.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm afraid they'll give me the same problem as the Rivals. Which is the fronts are sandblasting the side of my car because the rubber is so sticky.

Go to 19s in the rear and run Michelin Pilot Super Sports. 325 and 345 19s aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

I misread your post too. The Falken's don't come in 335's... Somehow I read 315's when I read that.

The Rival's seem to be sticker / softer than the Falken's. The Falken's definitely threw up rocks and caused chips when I was tracking the car, the street didn't see too bad.

Thought of that, but I have Fikse wheels, and they tell me my centers won't accept 19" hoops, so I'd have to start over on wheels, at least the rears. Still, may look at that more closely after summer. I was hoping to just find a couple tires in 18"....

I was hoping to get the BFG's rivals, but they are back ordered every where I look..

I would not run a 25 tire, not enough sidewall for our cars in my opinion.

Not a problem... for the same reason, I am also considering other sizes. Size opinions are welcome.

Other thing is make sure you always have more or equal sidewall in the rear compared to the front.

Why do you want the 335? Performance? Looks? Because it's the cool thing to do? ;-)

Seriously... Our cars are generally front-end limited in terms of handling capability. If you are targeting handling, getting a bigger front tire is probably the better option. I run 315's in the rear, and I'm trying to squeeze a 315 up front to match it.

The "high performance" tires are hard to find the in 19" sizes as well, so that's not a magic bullet either...

Good luck, it's hard to find the right balance...

my car sees some autocross, but not a lot.. twice a year at best so far. I'll be putting a 275 on the front, about the best I can do on my budget.

You're right but there are a handful more choices for wide 200tw 19s than there are 18s. RS3, RE11, PSS, NT05, to name a few, and on August 2nd the 305 RE71 should be available. Out of those, the only tire that runs with the RivalS is the RE71.

Just to recap (pun intended) I am looking for a street tire, NOT a semi-race tire. I have Rivals, & they are killing my paint. I have clear mask material on the lower 6" of the car sides, but above that I get chips almost every time I drive the car. I want to go back to Pirellis or Michelins, or ??. As far as size, I currently have 335/30-18's, and want to stay with them or a slightly narrower & taller size.

If anyone has a pair of the above or knows where I can locate a couple, I'd appreciate the heads-up.

Thanks Mike. I did see that, but...
A.) When I enter my zip code, it says the are on B/O, special order is available is available with no delivery date offered.
B.) The Rossos are priced at $470 ea., which is bad enough, but the P Zero Systems are $622 ea, plus freight. I'm having a hard time swallowing that price.

How do you know Bridgestone is making a 305 tire in the RE71R?
Anything else bigger?? Love that tire and with 285's the biggest
it seems like they should make something bigger

I agree more grip out front is better
I had to reduce the size of my tire on the
rear of my Pantera to get the push out of it
as I am limited on what I can get up front

Going bigger on the front of my bird but need to cut the fenders

How do you know Bridgestone is making a 305 tire in the RE71R?

I've been reading rumors about this tire coming on the Corvette Forums for a while. I cannot recall whether it has been confirmed for certain, but what I have read is that there were not plans for any larger size than the 305... That is all subject to change at the manufacturer's whim of course. ;)
