For those of you using the LS9 on a 69 Camaro, what dry sump are you using?
Thanks

Most of them are using a factory dry-sump oiling system. Mark Stielow's builds use a factory dry-sump oil system, but he uses a Peterson tank. The only good location for the tank is on the passenger side in the bulkhead. The location will vary on the car, but if I had a dry sump then it would be that location. My reason is not about weight, but to hide the tank from view. The primary reason is the custom work in the engine bay. There is lot of work to put in that location.
Jon's 69 Z28 RS should have the dry sump tank in the front corner.

There are many dry sump systems using Peterson tanks mounted on the core support, I have seen 2 and 2.5 gallon tanks in this location. There are other options, Ive seen DSE mount it in front of the core support as well.

I can't find a good pic but the tank for Mayhem is in that same right front corner and works fine.

Thank you all for the response.
Charley, if you can find the pictures that would be great, I'm Jon who bought JackAss's LS9 from Mark. I talked to Mark yesterday, he said I could use the dry sump from a 2015 LT1. The LS9 should be arriving on Monday. It's funny how the engine will also be going into a Daytona yellow true 69 Z28 RS..
Thanks!

Jackass part 1 had the tank up front on the left. Mark moved it to the cowl on version 2 to get weight back but 99.9% of us would not know the difference.

If your car has hide aways the front corners probably won't work, the headlight motors occupy that space.
