This is the motor my best friend bought to go in his 69 Camaro project that the OP just bought. Brand new, never fired, been sitting in my secured insulated shop the last few years waiting for my buddy to finish the car which never happened.

I will say, my friend paid more than that for it years ago, and it was a good deal then, so someone needs to snatch this up.

A couple of things people will want to see if you have them... Cam details and a dyno sheet? Do the heads have any porting work done to them other than the standard AFR ports?

GLWS!

From what I understand Dave Diluca did not disclose the custom cam specs. He sold this engine as a 525 RWHP build.

Jody may know more details

I think all AFR heads that come directly from them already assembled, are fully CNC'd IIRC.

No cam specs, the engine builder held those close to his chest. I believe the grind was in the .600 lift range and 240/244 @ .050, on a 110 lsa. But the exact specs are unknown. Heads are full CNC as far as I could tell.

It was his 525 rwhp package, at least in a late model F body or Vette. Might be slightly less in our older cars.

Given that it's a stroked LS2, what kind of tq numbers are you expecting and at what rpm range? How long ago was it completed and is it basically a long block (no harness, accesories, etc)?

Is there enough vacuum for power brakes?

thanks

In similar engines I see approx 450 at around 3000 and no issues with vacuum booster.

Needs Intake, rails, injectors, TB, coils and front acc. I have stock LS2 rockers and stands but no pushrods.

Guess that you won't be needing the set of hardened 7.400" .080" pushrods and full set of LS2 rockers and stands that I pulled out for you early this week??

Jeff - I am the one picking up the motor from John. I may be interested in the rods of they are the correct length. Let's touch base after John and I finish.

John already picked them up from me over the weekend

I bolted up the rockers and the stands. I did not install the pushrods. Need to check with a pushrod length tool to confirm they will work.
