I know it's been done many times but how do you guys get these door panels to fit really nice on the door , after some massaging I'm still off !
They fit ok without the inner side window guide brackets. But there will not have whole lot of support on upper edge without them and not mention glass guide issues

That's a huge gap. almost an inch ouch!!!

They look good and I will make them fit but figure I'll ask before I start cutting on door

Wow, that is a gap. I know many have used a heat gun on inside to make them conform a little better. Amazing they could fit back then but don't with 45 year newer technology.

isn't there a rubber door seal that fills that gap....I would double check that first....most early cars have a large weather fill front and back on the doors

The door weatherstrip has large molded ends to fill those gaps.

yes they are damm good looking, just left my mind some where else when I was working on them. they could use a bit of massaging so i'll slightly bend the two upper window guides that the panel clips on to. to lower panel a bit . and will also bend sheet metal on panel where it mounts on to them like the originals.. the perimeter retainers are way off and holes are kind of chewed up but they are overall very good where it counts.

Just got around to installing weather stripping , panels fit and look great. No need to bend brackets turns out to be my repop door outer top edge was off on front end by 3/4" ( not much :) !!!! ) no fun on trying to keep that top edge on check as it curves twice while trying to keep top flat and even. This is one of the reasons why it will get completely built before any paint.

Just keep massaging it, Sometimes they can be a bitch to get a good fit, Those are one of the better brands to work with. We have to mess around with them when we have installed for customers
