Just curious what everyone is using to build their frame tables. Size and thickness of material, grid layout, etc etc. I'm not able to make progress on projects right now so I figured I'd do some design work for the future!

No one? I've seen a few various threads on them. I have confidence in my capability to build one, I'm just curious what people have found is a good size and such. Maybe small details that make it nicer to use, threaded holes and such.

I like the ones Rad Rides builds.
4"x4"x16' on the main rails. 3 crossmembers welded in making a 60" overall width. One crossmember centered from each end and the other two about 24" back from the ends. I then have have 4 crossmembers with pieces of angle welded on that drop into the table and I can slide then anywhere I want or remove them comletely if not needed.
You want it high enough that you can crawl under it easily and low enough that you can still get in the car. I built my last one with 2 piece legs so I can set it up at 2 different heights. The pads on the bottom of the legs are drilled to accept casters and also have a threaded bung in the middle to take an adjuster.
I used 3/16" wall for mine, mostly for cost purposes. When I do another one I will use 1/4 for the main rails. Not so much for strength, it is plenty strong, but the thicker wall takes some of the "ring" out of it.

Thanks for all the information, it is very much what I was looking for! I like the idea of movable crossmembers. Do you happen to have any pictures of yours? How tall did you make yours?
Does anyone else have any suggestions or tips? Always looking for great ideas!
