Mods, please move this as needed

As some of you may know I have started to develop a line of parts that will be branded under my new company Finch Performance. There are several parts in the works as I write this, but I wanted to post up a few that are available now. All of these parts have been developed from a need that I found while working on my own car or customer cars. This is not something I am doing to try and retire on, so will not be giving up the day job anytime soon. These are just great parts that fill a niche with the goal being to continue to build the Finch brand beyond the TV personality and racing stuff.

The newest part is a Billet Shifter Ring and Boot assembly. These are machined from billet aluminum and come with a laser cut weld in mounting ring to trim out your transmission tunnel, a custom sewn boot, and stainless button head screws. These are available in 3 finish options. Kits are oversized to fix the common issue of a mutilated shifter opening caused by 30 plus years of sheet metal screws and are large enough to allow the removal of most 4,5,& 6 speed shifter assemblies, including the extra large T56 Magnum, from inside the vehicle to aid in transmission removal.

Introductory price on these is $195 for the Kit plus shipping.

The Finch Billet dual chambered vent canister has been out for a while now and several of you on here have purchased them. These are cut from solid billet and allow the venting of both your rear axle and your fuel tank in the same unit. The chambers are sealed from each other to prevent cross contamination and come with a laser cut drill template to aid in installation. These are designed to mount on your trunk floor and they vent under the vehicle so no worries on fuel smells inside the vehicle.

These sell for $219 each plus shipping

Next up are Toe Plates to make checking and setting your toe at the track or your garage easy and a one man job. These are designed so that they will set against the wheel on their own and have a cutout at the bottom to accommodate the bulge from where the tire makes contact on the surface. This slight bulge can cause inaccurate measurements when using the common flat toe plate.

These sell for $95 a pair plus shipping

Coming soon are Finch rear spoilers for 63 to 67 Novas and 70 to 73 Camaros as well as lower quarter panel diffusers for a complete rear aero package, a complete lower dash cap assembly for 2nd gen Camaros that will let you run billet vent registers and the billet a/c control knobs and billet aluminum washers that range from a 10/32 machine screw to 3/8 oversized washers to be used where the fenders mount on the firewall and cowl.

My new website is www.finchperformance.com and you can order these parts on the website if you have a PayPal account. If you want to use a CC shoot me a PM or email me at [email protected]

Just wanted to throw out there that we can also do custom orders on the shift boots if you have a particular color or tye of material. Here is one we just did for a Lat-G member wanting to show off more of his billet shifter. We took 2 inches out the the boot to allow more of the arm to show.

We now have 2 versions of the Chevy II rear spoiler to offer. This second option has a 1.5 inch shorter blade to give a more sleek look. These will come with all the mounting hardware and strut assemblies to complete the installation. Drilling of the decklid is required.

I will post up some installed pic's soon.

This one is powdercoated in a hotrod black crinkle finish.

Does it come with a lower rubber boot as well to actually seal the tunnel hole?

No rubber boot just yet. I just use a piece of Dynamat to seal the tunnel to the shifter base.

Brian, I received my boot kit today, and it is even nicer in person than the pics.

Guys, I was ordering this from Brian, and simply asked him if he could modify a boot for me, cut a little lower to allow more of my billet shifter to show. He tells me that he can custom make me a boot to my liking, anyway I want it. Instead of just selling me an off the shelf product, he custom made one for me, at no extra charge. Great product, great pricing, and killer service...:flag2:

Randy Johnson makes a nice front spoiler that would look good with the Finch rear spoiler. Just a suggestion.

You all may have noticed that our billet shifter boot assemblies are in the current edition of Super Chevy and Chevy High Performance. Sales are going well with those so I thought I would give a sneak peak of the next part we have made. These will also be in the hot parts section in the future.

For most people doing LS swaps the issue of tying the steam port back in poses a challenge. These new Finch adapters will take the guess work out it and provide for a nice secure seal as well. They will come in raw aluminum or black anodized and come in 1 1/4, 1 1/2, and the popular transition adapter from 1 1/4 to 1 1/2. The port is 1/8 NPT and is pre-tapped and ready for the fitting.

These will retail in the $45 range and should be ready to ship in the next 2 weeks.

Just the link to Finch Performance. They do some LS motors - and thought after seeing the way they ran my steam vent (into the water pump) that maybe they should be using your new hose system. As well as your vents.

It looks like the spoiler is a fixed angle (welded), why not just weld braces from the spoiler to the part mounted on the car instead of the work/cost of mounting the turnbuckles & spherical joints? is it for looks?

As with most vehicles there is small variations and having the turnbuckles allows you to make adjustments to get the blade straight or even put a gradual curve to it along the entire unit.

I am working on some 74 to 81 Camaro units that will be fixed and mount to the deck lid vs. back of the car like the 70 - 73

Here is the latest part from the Finch Performance Parts line. These are machined firewall plates designed to cover up the factory opening, and give your car a custom look at a fraction of the price. No welding Is required as these bolt in place and they come drilled to fit the Vintage Air bulkhead fittings used when installing A/C. Non drilled options are also available and they come in Clear and Black anodized.

I know they fit the 2nd gen F body and initial measurements fit the 1st gen F body as well but have not installed one on a first gen yet. If the firewall is flat and these cover up the opening they should be universal.

The plates measure 17 inches wide and 10 inches tall

Brian I need another shifter boot only. It needs to be low profile as well. The 6x9 version should got nicely in a stock 2nd gen automatic console since I already have the ring. How much for a low profile 6x9 version and if you have to make 1 I'll take it in orange stitching
