Running a DSE sub. On my 68 camaro
Not using their set back plates. Stock LS3 pan will not clear.
What's everyone running?
Thanks

Gonna have to use a Holley or Mast pan if you want a cast pan, or Canton if your willing to go steel. The LS3 crate motor pan just barely clears with the set back mounts.

Ya I also have a milodon. But didn't really want to run a remote oil filter. Guess I'll have to if I keep it.
I'll look into a Mast pan too thanks for the info

according to the information DSE has here: http://detroitspeed.com/1967-1969-F-Body-products/032001-hydroformed-subframe.html
Both of their mounts should clear the C6 pan.
Have you tried to install the engine with the c6 pan and found it does not clear?

Says you need the set back mounts I have them but my shifter sits too far back I didn't like it so I put the normal ones back in

Try a 4th gen fbody pan. You can get them brand new for $200.

Try a 4th gen fbody pan. You can get them brand new for $200.only works with setback mounts per dse specs. They are more than when you add in the pickup tube.

The information that came with my DSE subframe (few years old now) says the 4th gen pan works with the forward mount.
Any pan you'll buy will need a pickup tube. The mast pan runs over $400 does a pickup tube cost $200+? If the 4th gen pan works it's the most economical option.

Maybe the optional gold plated tube. I paid $30 for mine and if you don't get dealer price $40 tops.
Tell you what I'll make you a hella deal, next time you need a factory pickup tube and dipstick, I'll sell you them both for $100.

Holley just came out with the new 1st gen pan, looks to be shallower than the last version.
