Anyone have a recommendation for a heater only setup for a 69 Camaro?
Don't want A/C just heat for a smooth firewall application full custom install.

Vintage Air has heater only systems.

you can get the evap kit only from vintage air for the 69 and just leave the a/c fitting capped on the box, that way if they decide a/c in the future the unit is already in place.

^^^^ This.

I always recommend going this route to anyone that thinks they only want a heater. 1. for the reason stated above, easy upgrade later and 2. the GENIV evap kit moves so much more air than even a VInAir heater alone. More vents, better defrost, and a simpler install. With most "heater only" kits you get two ducts and a floor door, so you end up with defrost OR vents.

Installed one in Rudy's Camaro - heater only -- from Vintage air -- that I happen to have bought from Mike (Muscle Rodz) ---- nice slick little unit -- and the only thing that was crap was their defrost ducts of junk plastic with no real way to mount them nicely/effectively --- so I made my own out of metal the way a real hot rodder should do! LOL

I used 3/4" square tube to make a "blind" firewall mount (with studs) to hang the thing off of, and still be able to remove/service it.... Worked out real nicely.

That's a great idea since I don't use my hair drier much either.
