Reminds me of mine on the Dyno at Comp Cams on the PT years ago.... Except all the noise and flames was from my transmission!! DOOH!!!

It looks like a dyno dynamics unit. There is also a southern african company that makes a similar unit. The problem with the small portable units is there not made to handle high horsepower.

Apparently, according to the local forums (french), the operator of the dyno let the owner of the car do the test, instead of himself. The owner just put in in "D" and floored it, instead of keeping it in a lower gear. The operator of the dyno supposedly tried to get the driver to back off, but to no avail.

Again, according to local forums, another high horsepower drag car (800 hp) had just done a pull before the Mustang with no problems, but kept his wheel speed down by keeping it in second gear.

Arent all gt 500 6 speeds?

And either thats the slowest reving 500, or he had it in a really high gear.
