Ok I have a Rick's EFI Camaro tank, and we have been having some start up issues that I need to address now that spring is coming. This system doesnt hold pressure, it drains back to tank after the key is shut off. This is probably the cause of my hard starts?

I know I installed an Aeromotive in tank 340 and it had a little needle/seat in the outlet. Whatever pump is in this tank obviously does not have that?

I do not know how that system is, but none of my EFI setups have held pressure in the line. It comes up on pressure so fast when you turn the key it's not an issue. I don't think that's the cause of your hard starting. What EFI/computer are you using?

It is a Mast ECU....they are trying to sort out the starting as we speak.

I tried the flapper style check valves and the 60 psi folds them over and they don't do anything but impede flow.

Its a Bosch 044 and all the euro and aussie guys run check valves...there is a ton out there on ebay.au

Actually we take that oneway valve away when we need more fuel.
Last car in a dyno had one 044 w/o valve, Ford 302 TT intercooler w/RE85, run out of fuel at 540HP.
We use a primiring relay, when you turn keys on it will run the pump for two seconds.

All of the Ricks tanks I use have A1000 pumps... I'm pretty sure everything bleeds down when they shut off but the FAST XFI systems I use have a prime feature so bleed down isn't an issue.
