Dse JRI coil over adjustments

While waiting for my front suspension it dawned on me that there is only one adjuster nut for the coil over. Has anyone had any issues with this thing backing off? I'm used to seeing the two nuts that take a standard spanner wrench.

Does it have a set screw on the adjuster nut?

Not in my hands just yet, but I hope there is no set screw(would mar the threads) unless there are some machined surfaces where the set screws should engage the shock body. Was just hoping someone who has a set could clarify or give me the heads up n

It has one set screw with a groove section for it to fit in on the threaded section. Never had a issue if set in the right place.

I havent used the JRi set up. This is based on the older Afco's they used previously.

I have seen some coilovers that have a cross bolt at the extreme end of the nut. It is bolt that just goes through the coilover nut and squeezes down on the thread. Think about a splined sway bar. Its similar to the way the arm attaches to the splines.

I have the AFCOs and it makes a mark on the body but doesnt hurt the threads.

The shocks either have another ring that locks against the coilover ring, or it has a set screw. I can't remember which. Maybe it is both. Either way I think it is pretty safe to assume that if it is coming from DSE you won't have an issue.

As Matt said its a locking ring under the coil adjuster ring, nothing more than a jam nut. Just instaled four of them, you wont have problems great quality.

On the DSE/JRI Coilovers I have there is a set screw in the adjuster ring. My shocks have the non adjustible valving. Just finished Speed Kit 2 and Quadralink install.

Everything showed up yesterday it is just a set screw. Thanks guys.
