Not that is weird. I was just looking at pully systems on their site just seconds before I came over here. What a coincidence! :D

I was thinking that and offer non wheel looking pulleys, just a plain face in black would be absolutely awesome!

BLING!

Actually, what's up with the oil pan and oil filter? It is backwards?

What application is that? GTO, Hoden????????

It aint a Vette, F body, or a truck.

Looks identical to my GTO pan.

Very nice stuff, but I would want it in plain aluminum, no polish.

Update on the LS Tru Trac.
Pricing will be as follows;
Complete kit with A/C and power steering P/N13400 $2495.00
Kit with A/C and without power steering P/N 13420 $2145.00
Kit without A/C and with power steering P/N 13405 $2095.00
Kit without A/C and without power steering P/N 13425 $1745.00

We have just finished prototypes for all the kits and are now working on the bill of materials and instructions (I know nobody reads them anyway). We will also be sending a kit out to be ran on a dyno to check accessory speeds and general shakedown stuff. Turn Key Engine Supply has offered their services for the dyno. From there it's time to machine inventory! Kits should be on the shelves in 60 days. The kits work with F-Body water pumps and crank pulleys. Your feed back is appreciated and if you have any questions feel free to e mail me at [email protected]
Buy the way that is a GTO oil pan on the motor.

Welcome to the BB Scott. Speaking from experience i've had both the vintage air set up and the Billet Specialties set up there is no comparison on quality and the thoughts that go into there kits. Something that most people never notice is the fact that all of the Pulley's on the Billet Specialties set up all match. Not something everyone will notice but it's little thing like this that make this a better kit in my opinion.

Scott will i be seeing you at the local Friday Night Cruise Nights on Downers? I wouldn't mind meeting you in person since we appear to be neighbors.

umm.... ls1s already have serpentine belts, and I would bet dollars to doughnuts this weighs a crapload more too.

what some people will buy.....

umm, but cars also come with steering wheels, stereos, wheels, tires, transmissions, seats, radiators, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.... yet people still buy those parts in the aftermarket.

Umm, wouldn't all of those have a positive not negitive effect on the cars performance (assuming increased rotating mass and overall weight) Not to try and be a prick but why is the "pro touring" crowd seem every day more and more like old street rodders....

Just something that has been bugging me lately because if thats where the hobby goes count me out.

I have installed a few Ls1's and packaging becomes a pretty big issue with stock bracket systems. On an olds I did I had to hog out the crossmember and box it all in to keep the stock AC bracket, because I could not mount the engine any higher. The problem with most after market bracket syetems is how long it makes the engine and the room for the engine becomes and issue.

Billet specialties has a short decent packaged system. It is pricey. I believe it is the shortest but it is the most expensive. But an ls2 stock bracket kit is even shorter than the billet specialties. If you have a front steer car like a later 70-81 camaro I think the power steering pump might be in the way. It all comes down to fit. On my latest truck I used a stock camaro mount for the AC and made my own power steering pump mount and will make the alternator high on the passenger side. I hate to mount it high but it is either that or don't hook up the steering.

That's not a healty attititude and is almost "if you can't follow my rules I don't wanna play" way of looking at things.

PT just life life is a spectrum of styles from the no-nonsense all function car to the more showy car that thinks about form first. Just build a car you like and don't worry so much about what Mr. Smith is building :)

Personally I like to use the simple OEM stuff although the kits I've seen look pretty damn sweet.

this is a little of topic but i just bought a March setup thinking i could save 60% and still get the look, well i got the look but thats only till i start adding the shims to get it to track.. pulleys are off by over 1/2 inch and the fit is just not what youd expect from an engineered system, so if the tru track actually tracks true, thats what im buying next time

These cars are getting alot defined, and elegant.and not looking like half thought out wanna be race car.

I like the polished stuff on these PT cars, and the fit and finish these people are putting into them.

I coulda tested them for you today. Dyno'd 2) LS7's.
I think that Ac compressor location is going to be a problem though as stated above, may need to hack crossmember for clearance.

I agree with Steve R., build it your way. Everyone who is able to buy the nice aftermarket stuff that may not be pure-function/street-fighter should do just that...but I must say, when you use OEM style stuff and make it look nice, you get reliability, ease of obtaining replacements, and most importantly, you get the most "why didn't I think of that" statements from the onlookers.
