I didnt find it to be any different. Just no mention of the timeline. I thought it was alright. I'd like to see more detail added. But that might chase away the family members enjoying the story line. I'll keep watching anyway.

Sorry to disagree... but I think the new format is much better!

That '65 Impala was gorgeous. I also loved the red guts. I see no need for anyone else on the show except Chip and the build team.

Just watched the re-run. I liked it. I'd also like to meet Chip some day. That car turned out great from what I saw, higher quality and detail than the old show format.

I agree. No BS fake reality crap, just a good car show.

Agree but I want even more tech, don't just gloss over things. I would love to see the show take one aspect, body, engine, suspension, etc and highlight one area on each show. Still show the overall but give us some real tech or demonstrations of how the work is done. Edumicate me! :D

Dish dropped Velocity channel several months ago and I'll have to switch to U-Verse to get it back. I always loved Overhaulin' when it was on Discovery.

Try channel 5710. It will come up as test channel with no prog info but it's velocity. Old American hot rod show is on now

Overhaulin has always been a good show and still is. Personnally I liked Rides the best as it provided the most variety of the custom car building world. I'd like to see that show come back on the air for sure. As for the others, American Hot Rod is amusing at times and while some of you are bashing Hot Rod by Boyds lets not forget that this is the shop that built several high end builds that won awards nationwide like the Americas Most Beautiful Roadster and many others during its many years of operation. Granted during those peak years some of the employees that were working there at the end were not yet employed. Gearz is good. Other shows that I liked was the Biker Build off and the one episode of the Hot Rod Build off. The newer shows that are being aired on various networks don't have that same kind of charisma.

Biker build off was great I though. I don't have TV any more so it doesn't really matter, lol.

I also liked the new format. I think they are putting out a better product then when they were rushing to get it done in a week.
