View Full Version : Forged LS3 w Magnuson Supercharger Built by Charlie @ RPM
LS3 fully forged and built by one of the best in the West Coast. Invoiced at $12,986 just for the long block. The supercharger with the upgrades (ported, rear cog, and 8 rib pulley system) was $9500.
The engine and supercharger have only 800 miles on it. Those miles were break in miles done by Charlie at RPM motors. It has an upgraded Innovators West 8 rib pulley, a custom cogged rear pulley, and the manifold has been extensively ported to flow over 350 cfm (30 over stock) by Charlie at RPM. This blower has put down a legitimate 800 rwhp on 17 psi with zero slip on 91 octane. . A stock 6 rib non cogged supercharger sells for $7500, and this one comes with $2k worth of upgrades.

I will post more pics and info tomorrow. I have to uncrate the engine. I am willing to sign a contract that guarantees that engine and supercharger is without issues. You will also be able to contact Charlie and verify it's condition and performance.

Price below is not including the supercharger itself or the installation of the rear COG driven supercharger. It is for the long block only. I changed directions and I am going with a BBC.

Any idea on how tall the super charger is? I am not sure if it will fit in my car, but it sounds like a killer deal. Also, do you happen to know how much power the motor will put out without the supercharger?
Thanks
No idea but I will take measurements by the weekend. The motor was built to be blown, therefore it has a blower cam and low compression pistons. It's not meant to be run naturally aspirated unless the cam and pistons were changed.

Frank, I spoke with charlie about this motor that you purchased from his customer mike. They used race gas and methanol injection to produce the 800hp run. The efficiency of the roots blower after 12-14psi turns poor and it heat soaks the charge. I just wanted everyone know this thats interested..
"QUOTE
legitimate 800 rwhp on 17psi with zero slip on 91 octane."
Sorry for the delayed response. I was out on my yearly vacation with the family along with treating my illness.
Thanks for the heads up Bsinclair, "QUOTE legitimate 800 rwhp on 17psi with zero slip on 91 octane." was stated to me by Mike, he never took possession of the engine.
Charlie personally crated it for me since it was sitting in his shop. I didn't know that but I have have been upfront with everybody and any individual that would have been interested in the engine I would have told them to call Charlie for themselves.
I am not an expert but it was sold to me as I described it. As I said I was willing to put it in writing that the engine is not damaged and operates well.
I will respond tomorrow to all PM's and posts since it is very late right now.
On a side note, the engine is pending sale.
Thanks everybody.

Is this engine still for sale?
Sorry for the late response, I don't know why I didn't receive an email notification.
I have a trade offer on the motor that I am seriously considering accepting. Within 2-3 weeks I will know since I am waiting on the other party to see if he will accept the trade offer. That will determine if I can sell the engine or not.
