I have the 4" version of these grommets (as sold by Spectre) on the 4" intake side of my Turbos. Real nice product.

(I've added a couple of photos below, lifted from the web, to show what these things are).

Unfortunately, Spectre doesn't offer a 2.5" version, which is what I need, for my intercooler tubing.

I very much doubt that Spectre manufactures these things themselves, they must be sourcing them from a manufacturer of molded rubber/polyvinyl products.

Anyone know of a source for a 2.5" version? Or, the actual manufacturer, of these?

I've found a few similar grommets made for the HVAC industry, but usually they are big, bulky, doughnut-type things...not quite the same type of function...if possible, really would like to use the same type of thing as what I'm using for the 4" tubing.

Rob,

I think this is what you are looking for, but they are sized for pipe, not tube. Hope it helps!

Hi Chad, Thanks. The aluminum tubing I am working with is 2.5" on the OD, and the 2.5" (pipe size) snap-in grommet at McMaster has an ID nearly .200 larger, so, would be too large...the search continues..

what i have done for large openings is find a small rubber tube (ie windshield washer hose, vacuum hose, etc) and cut a slit in it. Then you can slip it over the metal edge and protect it. Can also spray some headliner adhesive to the inside of the tube to keep in place for extra insurance.
