Just came across this:

I love the idea. Anyone have experience with FF?

The design looks sweet, probably gonna be extremely popular. I would guess that Subaru components may a little harder to find and possibly more expensive in the long run versus the Cobra and Mustang parts. Either way, I like it.

I think it's a great idea! I drive a Scooby as my daily so I can attest to their durability. I think you would be surprised at the reasonable prices for parts.
FactoryFive has the rep of a top notch company. They've been doing these types of projects for a while.
RCR is doing something similar using a Talon/Eclipse base car.

The design of both cars looks great, but i definitely prefer the subaru platform vs. talon/eclipse.

FF is a great company. Id love to build a 33 roadster one day.

I would not have an Eclipse base kit. Had one years ago and probably the biggest POS I have ever owned.
The FF kit looks like it will be scary fast, and excellent donor car choice with plenty of aftermarket support.

Wish it could be configured for AWD, I really like the body lines.

That Eclipse based car just sounds funny to me too. However, I know Fran, and I don't think he will be capable of building a slow car. I'm curious how kit car(ish) it is going to feel when it is done though, both are aiming for pretty low price points, and I still think it will be hard to make some really solid and fast at that price point.

Should have designed it around AWD EVO

That would be sick.
I have a F5 roadster that I finished a couple seasons ago. There's tons of support for anything they put out as well as some pretty deep forum aids as well. When I had my car painted, I was able to compare its frame against 3 competitive kits. It was obvious that the F5 was designed to perform and not just pose. It's the only kit I'd do again.
