A pair of Turbonetics T61, Turbosmart 50mm gates, E Boost 2 controller, 402 cid LS. Fabricating the intercooler tomorrow and sunday. Balancing the rotating assembly and honing the block for a bit more piston clearance next week. What's it going in? My 2300# Ultima GTR, aka "Street Alien". I wonder what 180mph 1/4 mile trap speed will feel like?

Sounds like a cool project Jeff. Knowing your background, that should be a real wild ride. Keep us posted. Think you can keep it hooked up under 100?

You'll like the LS2 for sure. I'm doing a similar 402 build for my 05 GTO.

Jeff if you don't mind me asking what made you choose the T61's? I understand the car is more for roadracing. Just curious as too why 2 and not a single? packaging?

That thing will fly and never need anything more than pump gas!

Yeah, the '67 Chevelle with the TT402 and later the '05 GTO with the Turbine...or will that be nuclear power ?

looking very nice jeff!

where are you going to mount the intercooler?? ontop of the engine??

i know the GTRs dont have great airflow through the engine compartment so are you going to duct from the roof vent aswell?????

thanks Chris.

Nice stuff Jody!
I'm setting the GTR up for the 0-200-0 event. Need big HP to reach 200 in 1 mile at 5600 ft. It'll be at SEMA as well.
Intercooler will mount where the airbox is now, Air will be ducted from scoop above, will also have temp controlled fans mounted below intercooler.
I think twins will package and look better in this car.
