Our customer's 1966 Nova Is Equipped With An LS2 Motor, 4L65 Transmission, Schwartz Full Frame Chassis, Ford 9" Full Floater Rear End, 13" Drilled & Slotted Rotors, 6 Piston Calipers, Boze 18x12 On 335/35/18 & 18x8 On 265/35/18, & Auto Meter Gauges. How is the body mounted to the chassis? solid mount? The chassis seems to not have much triangluation built into it? Is the chassis torsion tested? If a chassis guy can jump in here, im doing design research at the moment and this design seems to be odd...... I mite be totally wrong.........

Anyone have an opinion?

Schwartz Extreme Performance has been designing and building custom chassis for quite a while now, I've seen the results and they're actually better than what you would expect, in this case, this Nova's chassis seems to be a street variant of a competition spec chassis. Anyway, I'm pretty sure this chassis and other models built by them had been tested before, so I think they can guarantee full quality.

I'm sure its a good design if it is bolted to the car solidly, then the body would act as trianagulation, I'm sure this is the case just wondering if the guys can clear this up please??

Why Greg are we getting in your way living vicariously through your builds?? lol Talk about detail they even put rotational arrows on the plywood so they could be mounted correctly.. This is going to be an awesome build.

This chassis actually bolts right next to all of the factory unibody structure making the body way more rigid than stock.

We like the fact that the floor does not have to be removed to install an aftermarket chassis. The car is recieving a warmed over LS3, so it will make about 550hp. We are looking forward to seeing how this car will handle. We are shooting to debut this car at Goodguys Columbus.

Thanks for all of the questions & concerns about our chassis, & thanks MexMan for some clarification.

Like Rt 66 stated, our chassis bolts to stock locations in the front, but connects the front & rear sections together stronger than subframe connectors can do which makes it much stronger than anything else. To further triangulate the structure, we do supply firewall braces from the shock hoops to the firewall. Adding a rollbar is effective & can be tied to the chassis too.
Our frame does bolt-in, & doesn't require any floor cutting, & the frame can be removed if an owner wanted to (for some reason) convert the car back to stock.

Thanks Steve! The car is much further along at this point, and the pics will keep trickling in. No radical body mods, as these are a great looking car stock. The engine compartment and interior will be pretty neat though.
