Wanting a '69 Camaro. Mechanical priorities are quiet running, smooth suspension, & good handling. Any smooth & quiet late-model GM FI V8 & 4-speed A/T is preferred. 300-350HP is adequate, more is better as long as noise does not increase & depending on cost. Appearance from generally stock to moderately modified is OK, but need modern seats. A 1998 Camaro dashboard & center console retrofit looked super. I know it's a broad question, but what might be the cost range to build such a car?

Referrals to a similar pre-existing car for sale would also be appreciated.

Cheers!

Jim I can't help but notice your from Petaluma. The question is broad but I would say 20-30k would be about right. If you start getting into LSXs and 4L60Es with big brakes and wheels expect that price to climb.
