I am hoping someone here has some experience with Aeroquip Teflon Hose. I have a fitting (fuel) that I cannot get to seal. I have the brass sleeve positioned properly, but still continue to leak from the backside of the fitting(not the flare).
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Tim

The teflon liner has to be cut very straight and clean. After cutting the hose I usually trim the very end of the liner with a razor blade to get it completely straight and remove any burrs or rough edges on the inside of the teflon liner. It sounds like this may be your issue; if the teflon isn't completely straight and burr-free it will leak.

I agree with Jody. I've had no problems when using this method.
If you have used the compression ferrule once, replace it. Aeroquip offers replacement ferrules.

perfect Tim, glad you got it fixed. A lot of people don't realize it seals on the end of the teflon liner, which is why you need to spend a little time to make sure it's clean and straight.
