Sorry about this Lenie. He has been hitting the watch forums. Here is another scam alert. Uses different addresses, banks. Typical scum bag

WTF. Sorry that happened, Lenie. That's a big part of why we have minimum post counts before a member can start a thread in the classifieds. Obviously that didn't help in this case though.

Selling anything on this site should be a priviledge, not a right. Take it up to 100 posts and let them troll on Ebay.

Thanks guys for the concern, truth is if I didn't have the money, I wouldn't have spent it, I even told my wife before I sent the $, sounds suspicious. The individual sounds like a pretty young kid (guessing early 20's). He lost, hopefully one day he'll find his way and realize there are people out there that have very tight budgets and he's taken a significant toll on there daily lives. It will not be the last time I put my trust in someone
Thanks again but everything is ok

That sucks man... should trust your instincts. They serve most people very well.

Not that you did anything wrong, we could all benefit from asking a local member to check out an item for sale if we think its too good to be true. I HATE SCUMBAGS that pull this crap.

Exactly -- get someone in the area to check stuff out. I just did this for SpeedTech.... on an item listed on Craigslist.... it worked out just fine. But buying ANYTHING on line anymore is a crap shoot... unless it's from someone you know. The more times you try your luck the odds are you're going to get hammered on a deal.
Sorry to hear this Lenie! That kind of stuff makes me so angry I understand the meaning of someone going "Postal".... the exception being - instead of randomly shooting people -- I want to hunt down the scumbags and string 'em up by their nads! Then torture them and then finally kill them slowly... the more agony the better! Think about the scene where they strap James Bond into the chair with no bottom and the guy swings a "monkey fist" (type of knot) on the end of a rope.... It makes my stomach turn watching that scene... but that's what should happen to these jerks. Jail is too good or them.

Greg, you crack the hell out of me and made my day! Great minds think alike, just didn't want to share what actually goes thru my deranged thought process:lol: Now back out to the garage to install sound deadener.

There was a sheet metal intake on ebay about 2 weeks ago and the bid was holding at about $600. I wanted it bad as I was prepared to pay alot more for it. The bid ended at about $1100. I was prepared to spend more than that on it, especially since the cost about $3000. This one would have been more since it was polished. I wanted it badly, but my instincts told me it sounded to good to be true. The seller was in Germany. That's when I said "screw it." I've been checking ebay because I have the item saved in my favorites to see if the supposed buyer has received it and left feedback. And as of now...not yet. So I think my instincts must have been true. Here's a link.

Yeah! 'Cause since reading about my buddy Lenie getting ripped off... I've been putting my addled brain to good use coming up with some devious tortures using some of the more unique tools I have out in the shed.
Lenie needs to locate this guy - then we'll go grab him posse style... just bring him to me.....
