I've always had prompt communication and delivery from Driverz. Bought 4 sets of tires over past couple of years.

Is Jon in the office? Perhaps his wife is in the hospital? They may need a little extra understanding at this difficult time.

Yeah I've gotten pretty swift help from them in my purchases. Justin and Jon have helped me in both cases.
I never contribute to these "vendor rant" threads but have to chime in here.
Vendor Rants IMO are justified ONLY after you've exhausted all your resources to resolve a "non responsive" issue. You state that all you get is "excuse after excuse". Well that means you've at least heard from the vendor in question.
In this economy, many companies dont have an over abundance of parts stocked in a warehouse waiting for "your" call. They (we) are simply Middle Men for Manufacturers to distribute merchandise. The term "excuse" IMO is a lazy way to say that you didnt get the response you wanted. Perhaps the parts you ordered are not readily available or even produced yet. The BIG companies are also feeling the pinch and not producing as fast as they may once have. Down the food chain it falls on the hands of GOOD people like Jon (Driverz) to have to keep relaying or to use your term make "excuses" as to why parts are not shipped yet.
I know Jon is a great guy and just the fact that you say hes been in contact with you proves that he is trying his best. Small companys like Jon have done great things for our Industry / hobby.
Be patient, give him the benifit of doubt and see if he can clarify exactly why you havent recieved your parts.

I bought my Rushforth's and tires from John. He was always quick to respond or return phone calls. Sometimes there was a delay beyond his control but he was always clear and up front about any delays and was very willing to go the extra mile to make sure I was happy.
I agree with HRBS vendor rant threads really should be reserved when you have exhausted all other possible means. I'd try what HRBS suggested and try giving John another call and see if you can get a clarification on what the delay is. I'm sure he will do whatever he can to help ya.

Funny.. I saw this thread and called thier shop.. Jon answered on the second ring.
Told him of this thread so he can respond.
Personally I've always had good luck dealing with them.. in fact they dragged thier butts out of bed at 5AM on a Sunday to mount two tires so I could race later that day.
Two sides to everything so let's let Driverz Inc respond :)

Thanks Steve. Steve Called my cell phone :)
With the parts in question for Southern Rod and Custom... its a cluster F of events, partly my fault really, with all that is going on in my personal life, the part he ordered got PO'd late, (along with a few select other parts that were ordered around the same time). I've been catching up with those orders ever since.
All new orders have been good though.
With Southern Rod's parts, he ordered some Shelby Engine parts, which we are not a dealer for, but offered to source them anyway which were a block, and some other misc. parts. I went ahead and ordered them, and Shelby took forever to get them down, and when the finally did arrive, we had problems with FedEx and shipping them Internationally. And, since we did them as a favor, we didn't make any money on the deal. Bad move on my part, because after they were delivered late, I shipped them to Australia, on my bill, so I ended up losing money, lots of money.
Then, we recently shipped a Tru_Trac out to them, and FedEx sent us back some paper work that needed to be filled out, again, because of the international order. I've responded to the customers emails, I know we're late on the last part, but guranteed a good tracking number to him by this Friday, and hoped we were all done with this order. I know he may never order from me again, but at least we made good on everything, and I've done all I can. I know he's pissed, but at least we tried, and that Tru-Trac will have a tracking number that is good by Friday.
Thanks to the mods that called me. :lateral:
