So i had a friend give me a near new though neglected traxxas nitro 4-tec RC car. I just now got around to tearing it apart and cleaning up the mess he had made of it and got it back into running condition. I went out and bought some fuel today and she fired right up. pretty stoked needless to say. I can't believe how fast these cars are and nothing sounds cooler than hearing a 1/10th scare car shift into second gear. still not used to it. anyway, already slammed her into a curb so tomorrow i need to get a new shock tower and lower control arm but hey, im not to worried about it.

Need to get a body and some new wheels and tires for it and was curious about what you guys thought about my possible choices.

2010 camaro body (going to paint solid black...no decals)

Almost forgeline ZX3R wheels (http://www.forgeline.com/products/competition-series/zx3r.html)

Im thinkin it should look pretty sweet. Anyone else got any nitro powered rc cars? any advice or sweet mods you guys have done?

It is a ton of fun. Be prepared to spend a lot on parts. I have 3 TC-3 Nitros.
I put a turbo .12 motor that puts out 1.2HP and it will do 70MHP. It is almost too fast to control.
I also have a T-MAXX 3.3 truck. This baby is the best. Does not matter where you take it. Grass, road, dirt, sand it goes through anything.

My kid knocked down the neighbors mailbox with mine. Still makin him save for parts to fix it after he replaced the neighbors mailbox pole. Sure would have thought that pole would have held up better.....but then he did hit it a ton!

yeah my car goes like 65 or so its claimed and liek youre saying its definitely almost too much to control. I have an RC-10 GT truck with a .12 Pico motor in (or well had one it it) till the pull start broke and i havent been able to find a replacement. The road cars a fun but man the trucks are awesome becuase they arent as delicate.
