I'm adding an electric fan from a Dodge Viper to my 68 Coronet project and I need to get a fan controller for it. The fan pulls 4000CFM so I'd like something that is multi speed capable so it doesn't sound like I'm about to take off sitting at a light! Any suggestions? What are most guys using out there? I saw the programable Spal piece but it's a little pricey for me. Any suggestions guys?

I just bought one from this guy, but haven't gotten it yet.

It may be worth talking to him. I thought for the price it seems like a nice product.

Best easiest affordable and scalable fan controller...

SPAL PWM

Comes with a wiring harness - waterproof so you can mount where you want to and programable if you don't like the default settings. Has ability to take A/C input - and one more wire and another relay and you can run two fans.

BTW --- the link I sent above --- the SPAL PWM is $129

You think that's "pricey"?

Thanks guys. That is much better price then I saw before. When I was searching yesterday, the Spal that I saw was going for for $214, which I thought was a bit much.

I'll just need to check and see what the current draw is in the Viper fan to make sure I don't over current the Spal V3 controller. The Viper uses a 50Amp Relay from the factory so I'm not sure the V3 is going to cut it.

I hate to resurrect a old thread but....I finally got around to getting a new Radiator with my Dodge Viper Fan and now I'm really in need of a fan controller. I have tried to contact DCC several times via the email on thier website but have never gotten a reply. Are they still around? There is no number listed to call them so I have no idea if my emails are getting through. I'm leary of buying something from them since I get no response from them.

Anybody have any suggestions? I need to verify what kind of current draw I can expect with the Viper fan to determine if the Spal unit mentioned above will work or not. I don't mind spending money, I just prefer to do it once! Any help would be appreciated.

This is what I found... I don''t have a spal fan with mine and it works great. I was able to find a new one on ebay some one was selling. So just look around. Good luck.
