So I would like a little feedback on the lsx 454 crate engine, what would you guys suggest for intake? Fast, or stock gm ls7, also would like some help on where the best deals is crateenginedepot? Jegs? Then my second question is wiring ecm, gm or aftermarket, I was under the understanding a while back that you could not change any programing on the stock gm setup, but you could on some of the aftermarket? Is this correct? thanks for the help.:hail:
What kind of hp? I've read in the C6Z section at Corvette Forum that the LS7 intakes are good up to about 650hp then they start to become a restriction.

Scott, 600-650 hp, this is going to be a car that my wife will drive as well, ( ya seriously) did you put the twin turbos on your car after you built it, I was thinking lsx would be good then if I decide to turbo later, also thinking about auto trans, with twist shift paddle shift, whats your thoughts on gm ecm or aftermarket, and maybe go with FAST Intake? thanks for you help man can use all the advice I can get:cheers:

I had a customer we are building a roller for fly in from California today and had the exact same conversation. He has a LSX 454 and was on the fence about what intake / TB. For a 600HP application, we like the FASTLSX/R intake, and a ported 90MM TB. Not a big fan of the larger TBs, kind messes up driveabilty and little to no top end power help.
We run the LSX/R intake and ported TB on our 418CIs and make 601HP with a very conservative cam that makes killer (580) torque.
